Imagine feeling bad for Lemoine after he gave a west nile sob story.

Cases like this make me want to go to law school just so I could eventually wear a black robe and say "no one gives a fuck" from a comfy bench...

I wonder if the judge was just actually pissed off because no matter what he did, it was going to be appealed and since appeals standard is de novo on pretty much everything he had to decide, the appeals court would essentially just ignore his opinion anyway. So his time is really being wasted, in some sense.

That's the exact same feeling I've had about Chupp since the TCPA Hearing. Hes so fucking annoyed with both J. Dolf and Ty that he feels like a disgruntled father telling his kids to go to bed during a show.

glad the robot voice sort of got fixed but I like this stream so far
"Who is that black guy" LOL

Man maybe thats it, I can see that being very frustrating as a judge

That actually make alot of sense. No one in their right mind could read all of those filings and not see "ENDLESS APPEALS" written in whale blood between every margin.

So this Tazz guy apparently accompanied Nick to the hearing and Casey knew him from Nick's show. I have never seen this guy. What's his story?

"Clear and specific evidence" was a terrible fucking phrase for the TCPA drafters to use. It immediately evokes the similar phrase "clear and convincing evidence" which is actually a higher standard than the traditional civil "preponderance of the evidence" standard.

Even with the Texas Supreme Court repeatedly rebuking lower courts for misapplying it as an evidentiary standard higher than a prima facie standard, it really seems to invite trial courts to commit exactly this error.

So far this stream is better than I thought it would be, but I think I'm still gonna watch some animoo instead of watching the whole stream.

The Tazz guy had gone to another hearing in the case previously, and Nick had him on to discuss it before.
He was on this stream as he went to the previous hearing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdLlPOqHNKE

And he's a member of Nick's Discord.
