The feeling I got from the Twitch aftershow is that maybe we should temper our expectations for next week. It's apparently going to be big, and weird...

But remember that description would also cover Lemonfurher trying to use a misreading of the Communications Decency Act, and that was just... weird, and almost literally laughed out of court.

Expect KV to freak the fuck out, and Law Twitter to have some AMAZINGLY stupid takes about how Ty is insane. But, don't expect a legal headshot.

What about a literal headshot? Ty has hired assassins to go after Marchi, Lemoine, Sabat and Ron. Monica is going to be transported to greenland (once Trump buys it) and will be stripped for blubber and oil.

Also the way he says it in the stream, it kinda sounds like he is directly saying it to "people in the chat spiking the football" so I cant tell if he is specifically aiming it at lawtwitter and kick vic, or if that is just a coincidence of circumstance.
 
Unless his source at Funimation has decided to step forward. Be like "Yeah. I have you no matter what."
 
Most likely from the sounds of it, somebody else is entering the lawsuit to sue Funimation. That's the only thing that makes sense with what Nick says. Probably will see a filing to...Kameha Con is going to sue Funi, aren't they.

I could he wrong and it could be the judge made a decision which we will find out tomorrow. But who knows. As long as it makes people go RE RE REEE all the way home.

We may have to think "outside the box." Just spitballing.

Maybe Ty and Nick found a lawyer who will challenge Chupp in the next election. Judges tend to pass harsher sentences in election years, maybe being challenged would force him to follow the law closer rather that playing fast and loose.

On the Funimation front, it sounds like Funimation is a shambling zombie that only keeps moving because of a "core" of people that do the work.

Maybe those people are leaving Funimation next week leaving the company crippled?

So far our current thought processes haven't figured it out. Shake things up a bit.

Catching up with the stream, I'm glad they haven't turned into ISWV den of tears. And I'm also glad Nick is streaming about other happenings as well.

I particularly enjoyed this one with the insight of other people from the hearing. Hopefully and Stan's intrerview will sort good as well. And imho the new leaks will be more Funi leaks. Not recorded lines though, maybe something else more compromising.

Well, didn't Nick say something like "it's never been tried before?" That suggests it's something active, and short term. Challenging Chupp would be...

... When is Chupp up for reelection anyway? 2020?

I don't think that Judge Chupp ruled harsh because of anything election-wise. I haven't read (or seen, even) the transcript, but based of what Nick said, it simply looks like he ruled on the preponderance of the evidence, rather than what the TCPA dictates. It's almost like he forgot (like Ty did with his Notary), but Ty reminded him multiple times about ruling based on Prima Facie.

Agreed. The hype train is over and I no longer trust Nick's ability to properly frame 'happenings' in this case. I think Nick got a little too emotionally invested as well as a lot of others.

I was underwhelmed by the Funi leaks but if he’s hinting at direct impact to Marchi and the case, my interest is at least piqued.
