It didn't even work under him, since both the courts and legislators pushed back to the point where despite the fact that the GOP were considered poison due to being in office when the worst of the Depression came around, won a pretty big shift of over 80 house seats, 7 senate seats, and a refuckingdiculous 12 governor seats. Sure, FDR still held both houses, but the margin dropped hard, and a good portion of his own party (the dem's conservative wing) upfront refused to work with him through a lot of that congress.

If the Dems tried that shit, the same fucking thing would happen, probably even harder too given that at least FDR was really liked before he tried to rig the system to force his shit down peoples' throats.

The injunction is still active in the states that the 9th Circuit has jurisdiction over, for the moment, but the nation-wide injunction was hamstrung by this. Essentially, single judge issued a nationwide injunction to stop the Trump administration’s new asylum rule that was announced in July. His injunction was partially blocked, and he just attempted to make it nationwide again but within 24 hours the 9th slapped it back down.

Both parties have always had a hardon for destroying vaping. It's an industry that thrives mostly on small locally-owned businesses that don't pay shitloads of taxes or do any lobbying, and it's a threat to cigarettes that they make a shitload of taxes off of and cigarette companies who pay them tons of money in token fines, taxes, and lobbying. Most of the "vaping related deaths" are either not even confirmed as being related (at least one was just like "well he was a vaper and he died so we're reporting this as a vaping death"), and in virtually all of them what they're not saying is that it's idiots who were putting shit they shouldn't in the liquid or making aftermarket addons to their batteries. They'd all rather the populace stay addicted to something that provably kills them, so they're trying to kill a threat to that while it's in the cradle and barely any studying or research has been done on it. They created an entire sub-industry for researching and testing cigarettes as an excuse to keep them on the shelves but fuck that ban vaping now.

All absolutely fine. The victims of that shit were wrong thinkers and so they deserved it and as a right thinker it'll never happen to me.
But it always does happen to them in the end. The mob eats it's own and the "Kind Masters" will throw their loyal subjects to the wolves the moment it suits them.
These liberals would understand that if they were capable of considering the future beyond tomorrow and if they had even an ounce of the empathy they constantly claim to be filled with.

They dug themselves in too deep for that. If they dismissed the charges it would cause everything else that was downstream of the case to collapse, too. The prosecution leveled a gun at him and told him to plead guilty whilst knowing that they had exculpatory evidence that would disprove his guilt. Flynn apparently knew that too, because he immediately pleaded guilty, locked in the charges, and turned around a second later and filed for the Brady evidence.

They were completely and totally willing to let an innocent man go to prison on falsified charges, and they knew he was innocent. The prosecution has essentially spent the last two years holding a rabid tiger by the tail, trying to figure out how the fuck to get out of the room without getting mauled to death.

God I need to post some screenshots from a fake Facebook account I have. The TDS is off the charts, but it taste so good. Do I have any issues with trump? Sure, but they’re more issues I have with the role the presidency has played in the last 40+ years. I just want him to live broadcast him killing the Fed reserve people after 2020, get rid of every gun restriction he can, and I’ll be fucking happy.

That is a pipe dream so hey I’ll take the next best thing. Oh second thought maybe doing it on July 4th his final year would be better.
