Remember that they're part of Sabat's entourage and Sabat hates his fans and most likely the whole anime community, talking badly about them any chance he's given and I wouldn't put it past them to brown nose Sabat to get on his good side and be in on the clique to secure their place. They hated the idea of doing signings with fans because that would be being in contact with them. They adopted the idea from Vic of all people because they saw how popular he was and saw the profit he was making out of it, not even realizing that it was Vic being friendly and getting to know each individual person that has made him as popular as he is today. Chuck Huber himself says that it was Vic's idea because not only would he make money, he'd be able to be in more personal contact with his fans whom he appreciates greatly.
But they don't care about getting to know their fans, they just want their money. In reality to them, we're all a bunch of gross, sweaty neck mouth breathers that aren't good enough to be in the same room as them. They pretend with us because they feel like they have to.
They care about fans only when it's convenient for them or when their fans help them to support their narratives or when their fans can act as a cloaking shield from legitimate criticism.

I was having a quaint little stroll through the depths of the internet, looking for, well photos of Monica Rial.
The internet did not disappoint me in delivering something to make me want to rip my eyeballs out.
Not at all. The image included Monica Rial, but for once I am actually mildly sympathizing with the situation she is in during the photo.

You can tell she is trying really hard to not piss herself in fear, I personally would just have made a run for it. Or jumped out a window.
