She's a sociopath. Just read over the tweet she made. It is incredibly calculated. Also read carefully where she mentions Alec's death. A normal human emotion is to blame ones' self for tragedy. It's part of why 'survivor guilt' is a thing. However, Zoe specifically writes "I'm sorry for whatever drove Alec to hurt himself and others."

That is some cold, calculated shit. She then takes the brief moment of having the spotlight on her and thousands of Californians sending her 'virtual hugs' to promote her new comic book. She's so fucking transparent it's hilarious. This is why you shouldn't get mad about it. It's best just to laugh at her sheer audacity.
