Both, Monica and Jaime wanted him to fuck them because "They so Beautiful" but he never tried to Pull a Sabat on them so they are butthurt and want him to hang himself.
 
I come back to the thread just when it seems something interesting is about to happen, I'm so lucky. Has KV tried to spin this yet as being a sign that Vic is finished or are they still warming up for their stretches?
 
Just a thought, but what if "ALL parties" are called for mediation because Chupp read all the files after the hearing and is now reconsidering his previous rulings ?

So apparently Chupp ordered mediation before he rules? That seems rather bizarre, particularly for this case.

Vic: Funimation, Monica, Ron, Marchi, and other who I haven't sued yet as I'm still building my case against them are part of a conspiracy which has defamed me and interfered with my contracts.

The current defendants: No we did not conspire together and defame Vic and interfere with his contracts.

Just what the fuck is there to mediate there? This isn't a piece of land that they can split in two, or an inheritance of money they can agree to share or put towards a mutually agreeable cause. This is "They deliberately told lies about me to destroy my reputation and career". There are no compromises that aren't significantly detrimental to either one side or the other. If Vic doesn't walk away from the case with at least a confession or a large sum of money from the defendants, it will be an inadequate salve for his damaged reputation and career. If the defendants give him either a confession or a large sum of money, it will be either a damning admission on their part that they wronged Vic, or a tacit admission that they wronged Vic that leaves them out a bunch of money.

That's not even considering that this is at the TCPA stage of the case. The part where the judge is supposed to figure out if there's even arguably a case to be had here. If there's enough of a dispute to be mediated, then that alone should mean that there's enough of a case to proceed with discovery. Which gives the plantiff a strong incentive to not compromise with the defendants in the belief that either the judge will rule in his favor, or he'll have a strong case upon appeal. At the same time the defendants have a strong incentive to wait for the TCPA ruling to see if they can get out of the case cheap before compromising with the plantiff, and the mediation order does little to weaken that incentive.

All told, Chupp is basically ordering them to attempt settlement talks while they're waiting on him to rule if there's even a valid case to settle.

something occurs to me.

Is it possible the recent ruling where he was told to knock his shit off got him to reconsider his style and this is his attempt to remedy the oppsie he did?

If this case was absolutely meritless, Chupp would have just dropped the case (in which he'd have to deal with an appeal.) Personally, I think Chupp finally did his job, reviewed the filings, broke into a nervous sweat knowing he fucked up the TCPA hearing and is now pushing this case into mediation sending a message in the process to the defendants. "Settle."

This is also probably really good for Ty's reconsideration request for Jamie Marchi's charges. I've been cackling at work for the past two hours after seeing people that really shouldn't be celebrating mediation... celebrating mediation.

Then again, I'm probably just horribly optimistic and this totally can't be Vic's equivalent of getting a powerup to kick the defendants ass. God damn, this anime is great but it's starting to get predictable.
