I honestly don't understand how everyone forgot why furries are hated and frowned upon by the entire world back in 2000s.

Blame normalization. When furries were this fringe ass part of the internet they were easier to laugh at. Then around the early 2010s a new generation of kids on the internet didn't have the same stigma for furries the older generation did and they were drawn towards it. It helped there were a few e-celebs from this era who were furries like Lapfox Trax (before the scandals ruined his career) and plenty of furry artists became popular on Tumblr. Recently within the last 3-4 years the media has flipped from bashing furries to treating them as a protected class.

Many things have made furries worse in some major way.
-Sonic made more furries crazy (or at the very least non-creative).
-Pokemon made more furries hypersexual.
-My Little Pony made more furries into kiddie diddlers.
-Alpha & Omega made more furries into doggy diddlers.

This argument is like saying video games create mass shooters. Furries were already this degenerate to begin with, but these media franchises acted like gateway drugs for many. Furries were hypersexual since the 90s when the Dennis Falk incident happened involving a batshit insane cartoon sperg stalking a voice actor. There were also plenty of non-creative furries in the 90s as well, they just copied oldschool cartoons instead.

Security costs are definitely going to go up for MFF for sure. At best, MFF will lose a bunch of money this year and at worst they'd end up having to fold from expensive security costs. They're probably much better run than RMFC (which got taken out by a handful of Twitter spergs fighting) but furry cons have never had to deal with exceptional political grievance protesters before.

Furries are the walking example of "all bark and no bite", no sane person will tell you they will throw hands with you, they will act without word. Most furries that ask for a confrontation really are just tough guys, they don't really want to hurt anyone, it's just drama for the showing cause deep down, they know it'll:
-Bring attention
-Keep them relevant in recent events
