Manosphere Jordan Peterson - Internet Daddy Simulator, Post-modern Anti-postmodernist, Canadian Psychology Professor, Depressed, Got Hooked on Benzos

Peterson is wise to get professional help. Getting off benzos is very hard to do. Some say it's harder than heroin. Thing is, you can have a serious benzo habit and just be maintaining, not getting high in any noticeable way. People start taking benzos and form physical addictions in weeks, months - from once daily prescribed use.

Quitting opiates cold is unpleasant af, but you'll live. Benzos will cause seizures and potentially kill you if you stop taking them after having passed the physical addiction rubicon (something that's quite easy to do).

Also worth noting is how long the withdrawal process can take. If you've taken Klonopin or Xanax for years, it'll be years before your brain returns to normal. These drugs are no joke and very insidious. This is not a personal failing on Peterson's part so much as it is the product of stupidity and laziness.

Seriously JP, you of ALL people should know the straight dope on Benzos.

Hmmm...maybe the Farms was right.

Peterson probably is a little nuts.
Everyone who lets e-fame, or fame in general for that matter, go to their head ends up retarded. I don't know how much of a cow Peterson is beyond memes because I have a father and he raised me well, but it was obvious he lusted after attention and that shit never ends up well. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the fat autists who lost their father figure today.

Why the hell did he sign on to that prescription in the first place?

Isn't he a Psychologist? Did he really not know how horrible physical dependence on benzos is?

I mean, hope he gets better, but seriously there's no excuse and his provider should probably be in jail.
He wanted to get doped up and have the excuse that it was prescribed by a doctor. Unless you're some utter fuck up who gateway drugs weed into heroin, that's a lot of middle and upper class white people get addicted to smack.

Like so many people, he probably assumed that he knew better than to get hooked. Most addicts start out telling themselves that they won't fuck up like everyone else before them.

It never works.

I think you're a bit optimistic there. Benzo addiction is openly peddled by the medical industry and is the unspoken but widely understood end state of all those bountiful bottles of Xanny bars. Everyone knows what's up. It's the status quo. I've heard shrinks say that 15 in 20 of their patients are hard wired to that shit. It's guaranteed money for everyone involved.

LOL, Clonazepam is some pretty serious shit. That stuff is supposed to only be taken on an "as needed" basis.
Good luck to him.
How is "as needed" serious? I have 800mg ibuprofen with a more restrictive dosage. Basically every medication does unless you're talking about something like nitro when the "need" is having an infarction.

From TFA... "...was prescribed the drug following his wife's diagnosis of a terminal cancer in April this year."

Yeah, ok. As someone who got hooked on one of the lesser benzos after a doctor prescribed them to me for... Less hellish circumstances than that, I can't in good consciousness condemn the man. He saw the problem within six months and did his best to shake it. It took me longer.

I meant that if it were a serious drug, nobody would tell you to take it as needed. A quick look into it does show that there are recommended dosages as well as guidelines on how to I HAVE AUTISM PLEASE LAUGH AT ME off of it.
As in it’s not meant to be taken on a regular basis. There are other better drugs with similar effects to be taken long term.
