Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I step out for a day and people sperg out like this? Come on. Now. Want me to post something cute?

Apparently this was Vic when he was 10. Gotta say, he was a cute kid back then.

That dog doesn't look like it's consenting.

I agree and wanted to add,

If you look around and see what happens... when there's nothing going on, you see a bunch of exceptional re.tards creating shit to talk about. Sometimes, things are quiet and you just gotta go out and have a life.
Also nobody's stopping you from taking a break from the Farms.

The last 50 pages of this thread has been mostly consisted of sperging from newfags talking about things that aren't even weeb wars related. Nobody cares about how much you want to suck Hero's dick or what RPGs you like. Clean your shit up, post something useful or informative.
Cry more.

I...don't really get it. "Oh my god people are too emotionally invested in this." This is only a 10th of the website. If you hate how people act, just jump on and watch one of the other things instead. It's a rollercoaster and Vic is a very lovable guy so of course people are going to get attached. A lot of people kind of got pushed here as there really wasn't anywhere else good to talk about this stuff without some massive fighting from no life Lolyers or KV crying about it or just being ignored entirely as they aren't important. This will all come to pass eventually and things will probably go back to the way they were once Weeb Wars ends.

Obsessed is probably the word more fit to what people are calling out but...Kiwi Farms is considered the stalkers of the internet so I don't think there's much room to talk. As long as nobody violates the rules, I see no issue with the investment. I don't agree with a number of things people do, but that's just life. Do I think people should take a break watching this stuff? Absolutely. You tend to become the thing you hate if you spend too much time around it, but it's not really my place to say that.

Let's just kind of look at the full picture of the TCPA Hearing until now: People made quick judgements of Ty and that he was incompetent, but turns out it was mostly just a judge really not giving a damn trying to dismiss it. People assumed the judge would be pissed and dismiss the case from the threats on Facebook, but I don't even think the judge read them and probably used it as an opportunity for mediation to end the case. Ty's rep is still solid and the case isn't over. At best we've had facepalm moments and maximum lolcows. If ISWV acts exceptional, we may as well laugh at it.

One last thing: the people you give advice to aren't going to listen to you. Who remembers when TUG said he was going to take a break from Weeb Wars due to being tired? He hasn't yet. I mostly glance to keep up to date for any news (this stuff moves fast), but if you're that invested at this point, you're probably a bit unhinged and aren't going to stop until the end. So people are going to get more and more crazy I imagine this month flame wars will rise constantly due to no news. So you're either going to start worrying about all these gay-ops and other shit popping up or not give a damn, pour yourself a glass, and watch everything burn. It may not happen this month or the next, but it'll be inevitable.

I'll get off my soap box now, but just wanted to say that because I keep seeing it here and there and it'll keep popping up. On an entirely different note, what are the odds Rial and Marchi will refuse to attend mediation? One of these people ran from the law for a month straight and the other just refused to show up at a location because of Vic. That poor mediator has no idea what he's in for.

Honestly, if I had to guess with how they have acted so far? It is likely, now maybe their lawyers will try to get them to go but honestly, I doubt it. Given how much they have shown to not want to move on anything at all. I doubt they want to go to mediation at all. But that's my take on it at least.

They have to show up, no choice in the matter. They refuse? They get a very upset judge that ORDERED them to go to mediation. Now, they can show up, say they don't want to talk about anything and leave. That would be fine (at least in theory, but it could still be considered acting in bad faith against the court order). But they have to show up, and if they don't there will be consequences. They could be held in contempt of court for it or be fined for it, among other things.

Mediation appears to be the judge's last stitch effort to try to get them to end this shit. The parties are too far deep to turn back now, so it only seems like a miracle will end it there. I still can't seem to wrap my head around why the defendants are so adamant about staying on their burning, sinking ship... But they have their reasons... I guess?

It seems like a last chance for everyone. I doubt it is to discuss what Vic owes people like KV likes to suggest. That isn't something for them to decide, even if Vic were to owe them something. As far as I'm aware, nothing has been set in stone by the judge. So anything can still happen. Shit has been pretty unpredictable so far.

Mark me late and gay if i wasn't the first to bring it up but apparently there's a change.org campaign about schemmel and sabat and i saw this. looks like their next to be #metoo'd

change.org campaign

This was brought up once already, opinions were the same then as now.

It's a shame these cancel cucks are so open about who their thinking of destroying next, all their "evidence" tends to be shit that can be debunked or explained.

That said, fuck schemmel and his faggy clothes.

Pick your poison.
Maybe they lied so much they believe their own hype?
Maybe they think that they've sunk this much into sinking Vic and turning back now is wasting all that effort?
Maybe they think their careers are mostly over because very few companies are willing to hire such brand poison and their den of snakes is under threat of getting burned out by Toei, so their only hope is becoming martyrs and victors in a social justice battle, thus letting them get bank off it Zoe-style?
Maybe they're just malicious, stupid, angry and refuse to listen to any voices of reason, and thus really do want Vic's balls, and think that just because the judge didn't rule entirely out of their favor, they can win?
Maybe they exist in an echo chamber and don't comprehend how fucked they are, no matter the outcome of the lawsuit?
Maybe all of above?
There's a lot of possibilities.

Why are people so stuck on Vic being called a piece of shit as if he's suing for that? He was called a piece of shit to slag his character, not because he's a literal piece of shit. He's using the slagging of his character to support his claim for damages with other actual defamatory messages. Damn, these people are dense.
Gotchas are bread and butter of twitter arguments. Get enough gotchas and you don't have to anyhow refute someone's point, you can just remind the world that X person once said Y wrong thing or did Z stupid thing.

I keep saying "I'll step back from this" but it hasn't slowed down. With my luck the casting couch stuff will be confirmed when I actually do walk away.

Anyway, Monica and Marchi started this thing in a hugbox and they only retreated deeper into it. Lemoine was probably promising that the judge would end this on September 6th. T. Greg was running around confirming it. You get media attention supporting you.

Then the September 6th hearing doesn't end it. You stew for almost 2 weeks in anxiety and anger because everyone promised this would be done. Then the judge comes out, gives you the free legal advice "this won't be done for years" and orders you to mediation.

Nothing is going according to plan. Two of Monica's lawyers (Casey and Andrea) might have left the lawsuit or are keeping as far away as possible. Marchi can still be brought back in on appeals.

My point is that it is easy to keep up an act on social media. But when reality isn't meeting your expectations and doubts start creeping in, all that bravado crumbles in real life.

I'm saying that there is a possibility that Monica and Jamie would consider settling. The judge is the first adversary with the power to call them out on their bullshit.

"Lawsuit? Nah fam, TCPA!"
"TCPA WILL be overturned at some point."
"Oh. Oh fuck. Fuck. FUCK."

I've said it before, Marchi and MoRon are convinced they've already won.
There will be no settlements, if they have that attitude. They will make demands and concede nothing.
Lawtwitter is screwing them over by giving them that attitude.
I would say at this point, Vic needs them to recant in a statement due to how much they amplified this in the press. And that was the doing of Lemoine and the Orca. Even if they would stop, they will not do that. The two sides will not reach common ground.

agreed. hell, im sure vic would settle on just public apologies and retractions, completely forgoing any monetary stuff. but these retards would never accept that.

I have two things to add.

A. Are the people going "off topic" really the obsessed ones? 🤔 Since we are in fact talking about different things and not just beating our meat to the current nothingburgers of the case and general WW content. Food for thought.

And.....

B. I really don't think Vic will get the speds to shut up even if he comes out 100% victorious. There are people not directly involved who will never shut up and aren't worth taking to court because they have nothing to their name besides autism and three different strains of candida in their folds.
I'm not sure what would be the best way to handle these people because they have nothing to lose. The only way they'd stop is if nobody cared to listen, but people who want to keep reigniting the virtue signal fire will feed them.

If they aren't getting direct attention from outside sources they might finally stop, but people like that will actively try to cause trouble. Again, nothing to lose. They just want to be right no matter the cost.

This guy should write lyrics for Kidzpop song covers, similar talent level.

For your A) I would honestly rather have "off topic yet related content" rather then dozens of the sames posts whining about the thread going "off topic" as the first actually adds something to the thread. I could see concern if this was one of the more specialized threads; However this is the general thread that is a catch all for anything weeb wars related that isn't worth having its own thread, so I don't really find anime discussion that "off topic" as long as it doesn't go too far. This thread isn't just about the lawsuit, there's already threads for that, so I'm honestly confused as to why discussion straying from the lawsuit and its main players is "off topic" in the general thread.

For point B) while you'll never win over the die hard KV what the lawsuit is hoping is to discredit a large chunk of their "evidence" so that they can't use it to bring the general anime community to their side in the future. Should all the nasty things they've said and done to Vic come to light in court it should severally weaken their sympathy points with the community at large. Also many of the most devout KV spergs have very small actual outreach, at least going by their twitter likes/retweets on their posts.

Remember when greg and everyone were calling vic a pedophile for saying a shit dad joke to a 5 year old.

And hear they are making songs about the abuse and molestation of children
