Being brave and boisterous on Twitter isn't anything. It's thirty seconds to type out a message. Someone challenges you there will be some SJW lemming ready and eager to jump in the barrel to defend you.

And "we will never settle" is from a legal document from a few months ago right? They put that in there because there really wasn't a penalty for it and it played well to Twitter.

But the plan is in disarray.

Vic didn't disappear. He's getting more people while kicked out of conventions than Monica and Jamie get by being "the guest of honor." Most of the accusations against Vic have been debunked. VA's coming out in support of Monica and Jamie didn't rally more people to the cause.

On the legal front Chupp BTFO'd LawTwitter and came up with a third option that calls Monica and Jamie on their bullshit.

I doubt that Monica and Jamie are as disconnected from reality as we believe they are. They probably have doubts about whether this is all worth it at this point.

Monica is probably a bit more realistic, but I don't believe for a second that Marchi will accept any kind of settlement that isn't just "give Marchi everything she wants".

I feel like you underestimate the idea of “SJWs always double down”. The only thing that can come from settling is showing that Monica and Jamie don’t have a martyr complex or a Zoe like sociopath. Also, a moral crusade in the name of social justice is probably something that people can rally behind (Broken Staircase) than some professional jealousy or whatever we’re accusing Sabat of doing in the shadows.

There's nothing the mediator is going to say to anyone that makes them think settling is a good idea. Vic has the resources to sit on this for years, the defendants are not walking anything back. The trenches are dug and the siege may begin.

In my experiences with mediation, the Judge was aware of at least some of what went on. My attorneys told me my job was to act like a Saint and do the Devils work, which I didn't really understand until later when the Judge started ruling against the other party again and again and again. My attorneys said he was looking at who was actually being reasonable and coming down hard on the party that wasn't.

So I think the real battle is there. Mediation sets the tone for everything that comes next, and we know who wins that match.

The problem is they may be right and you go into an appeals court as the prevailing party below with a home court advantage as much as the de novo standard of review, at least on paper, favors the appellant in this case. So why would you make any major concessions when you stand to win outright? At least Marchi has absolutely no reason to concede anything, whatever Judge Chupp may try to imply about what an appeals court might or might not do.

I don't think Monica and Jamie are "true SJW's." I think they are petty thugs who are exploiting people's beliefs to destroy a rival.

SJW's can't be reasoned with because their ideals are fundamental to their world view.

It would be more confusing in my opinion that he is there, Though I think they can't really do anything to Chuck Huber that easily without shooting themselves in the foot given that he did say in his affidavit that he thinks they could come after him. So there is that going for him. Also if I misspell anything I have been up all night. So sorry for my inability to use the English language. Though it is a curious thing never the less.

I mean let's all be honest here: why would it be confusing? You don't think people who hate each other aren't willing to sit next to each other to put on a fact act like they get along. It shouldn't really be a foreign concept to anyone. I also know these aren't the brightest people in the world, but let's just take a minute to think. Whether it's true or false, what is the one thing you don't want to do? Acknowledge it. Nobody is going to act like the affidavit exists because if they do, it's damning that it's probably true. If Funi immediately fires Huber, then the casting couch may as well be real. We don't know. It could be a made up lie which is important. So I'm not expecting much to happen to Huber purely for Funi to save face.

Most of the stuff we know to be true is funny enough because Monica verified it. She revealed info about the investigation, verified the Jellybean Story, and that Sony was the one to do the investigation.
