so now no tubes at all or are they sending her home with the nose hose? You'd think she would have planned this better and known how to act before she showed up and set off everyone's faker alarm bells.

Well since hers is bridled and "sutured" I assume she either has to get it out on her own or wait a day so they can properly remove it as they would have to do so via endoscopy if it's actually sutured. But usually AMA they just cut you off. Make you sign papers and take out the iv. No more meds/treatments/procedures. So I'm assuming unless there's no sutures she will have the nose hose until she finds a way to get it out. If its not sutured they will pull it out before she goes. Don't worry, I'll keep you updated on the nose hose situation
but they most likely won't be giving her a prescription for feeds so it will be useless... Only speaking on my experience with AMA so could happen totally differently but she's already asking Instagram for a ride home.... Er... to the hotel.

I've seen several of the munchie crew exchanging tube feeds with each other since they all "fail" a bunch of normal ones before falling into the loving arms of Kate Farms. If she goes home with the tube I'd put money on her begging followers to give her their unused formula. Or maybe just begging Kate Farms directly to send a few cartons, as some have done (cough jaquie cough)

I'm sure she will be internet begging for "natural" feeds but she would need a pump too, if it's an NJ (good thing all these munchies have tutorials on YouTube of how to set one up) or she can bolus and find out the hard way
ETA: I wonder if munchies know that leaving AMA goes on their chart and makes it less likely another hospital will pick them up and admit them...?

Maybe I missed an earlier one but isn't this secretsofserenity's first ng tube? If so, I'm wondering why they bridled it straight off. Seems like for an adult they'd only do that if there was a history of problems (Tina/Anelise pulling hers out) or if the adult wasn't fully competent.

Last night in her live, she was talking about how she wanted to discharge herself asap, but couldn't because she'd need surgery to remove the tube, so she'd have to wait for morning, all of which lines up with what you said. I'm dying to know what the doctors are thinking and if they have a plan for her. From what she's said, it's a small hospital, so I would imagine she's taxing their resources.
Unless I also missed something, this is her first. There's no evidence of her having had one before on her insta or her blog. Is bridling what it sounds like? They kind of attach the tube inside your nose?
He's not deployed. Recently (during this hospital stay), he's been taking care of their kids. He does have his own insta, but hasn't posted since December 2018. In her live last night, she mentioned that she was raised by her grandmother, who is now deceased, and that the closest family they have is an 18-hour drive away. So I don't know if we can draw too many conclusions from the lack of family attention.
I was looking through her insta last night and her attitude towards chronic illness really struck me. As an example, check out how she responds to people. This is a post from a couple of weeks ago about how her 2yo is also "chronically ill." She posted a video of the kid crying and kind of holding her head, which to me just looks like it could be teething, a cold, an ear infection, and/or a 2yo crying because that's what they do.
Anyway, people commented in various ways trying to express support, and she was just unequivocally defeatist. Basically everything she said was some form of, "There is no cure. There is no way to help. We are chronically ill and that's the end of the discussion." It's like she thinks of chronic illness as this magical land that she and her daughter have crossed the threshold to, and suddenly they're in this place where doctors don't know anything, and there are no possible treatments, and they can never exit, and nobody can question her because she is Chronically Ill. It's very depressing.
Her live last night was fascinating. I noticed she put some of it up in her stories if anyone wants to watch. She was going on and on about how horrible the hospital was, although the only actual event she described was that, after the first GI doctor approved her tube surgery, eventually a "random" GI doctor she had never met before came in, told her she was anorexic, and cancelled the surgery. As of last night, she had already contacted social workers, the hospital's patient advocate, and a malpractice lawyer about this. Oh, and she called her cardiologist's "urgent" line and left a message for him. She's really counting on the cardiologist to come through for her; she kept repeating last night that he would be "mortified" to find out how she had been treated.
At one point some nurses came in for the change of shift, and she left the live on so we got to hear the nurses being over-the-top nice to her, and mentioning that they'd seen the documentation of how unhappy she was. They were really committed to the "oh you poor thing" approach to her, I'm assuming because they're terrified of her causing more problems? I will say that she really does have charisma, much more so than the blobs like Ren, and that she's pretty as a speckled pup. I'm assuming that these have something to do with her cardiologist's willingness to bend over backwards to get her what she wants.
Hilariously, she was also very clear about the fact that, if she were to leave the hospital, she wouldn't be able to get admitted to another one. She clearly knew that she was only there because her cardiologist pulled strings for her, but it never seemed to occur to her or her followers that maybe if you have trouble getting admitted to a hospital it might be a sign that you don't need to be hospitalized? Just maybe?

I'll update this post if/when I can find it, but there was a munchie earlier in this thread that kept pulling/puking up her ng tube so she could get a gastro tube

TL;DR Pain is 37/10 from a pulled muscle and "undiagnosed gastrointestinal issues" has officially been added to her list of maladies.
I think my prediction for a t00bz saga could come true but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Kayleigh really is my favorite pet munchie and if she succesfully gets her t00bz or any other uselessly invasive procedures I may make a separate thread for her. So much more to this one than just doctor-shopping.

This is where I see a lot of overlap with the trans and munchie communities. It's always a case of acquiring as many labels as you can. It's like compensating for a severe lack of personality.

She might actually have Lupus. She claims she has had “signs” since she was 12. It was her first diagnosis. But it’s been in “remission” and she went off all meds for it. I don’t know anything about Lupus though.

She's had two ports and several PICCs now along with two NJ tubes and a GJ or three.
Somewhere in my autistic note-taking I actually went through every post she made in 2019 and sorted them into categories like "e-begging" "hospital selfie" "strategically posing to show off toys" but I don't think I ever posted it. (It was seriously a hand-written list I made when I was bored at work one day)

There's some foreshadowing in the GFM, I know fuckall about service dogs but I'm guessing the dog didn't make the cut and she lost it.
Any service dog familiar kiwis care to weigh in?
It doesn't look like the dog died, she's selling the stuff and doesn't seem to be grieving it like it died. She seems more pissed. I could be reading it wrong.

That doesn't sound like a regular washout (ex: the dog was too distractable, too anxious, couldn't perform necessary tasks) which are all kind of ...slow? You know they're coming, and there's a lot of "he might be a wash" talk leading up to it. This sounds like she had to immediately pull him from service forever.
Would almost bet she tried to do off leash training with him in public again and he attacked someone or a real SD. Or she tried to use the shock collar on him and he went bananas and attacked her.

Yeah, if someone "doesn't want to talk about" what happened to a pet and they're a cluster B mess, they fucked up bad and the animal is dead or it hurt/killed something/someone. They know they can't justify what happened, and completely unable to take responsibility for something really awful that they can't undo or make up in any way, they shut down and pretend it never happened.
