It's one thing to complain about how there were sections that just didn't add too much to the story, such as Tom Bombadil's segment in Fellowship (what can I say, I'm not a big fan of him... the songs too but those are just his Edda boner showing). It's another to note his journey writing is pretty dry and can be summed as "They walked the distance a fortnight." at its worst. He's a bit on the technical end and can be a bit dry for some.

But he is a master at building a strong and deep world, is THE man behind modern fantasy tropes, and had more talent in his pinky toenail than Cuck ever had. He's just bitter he can't be seen as famous for his lazy and trash work and wants to take a hammer so people can remember his unread trash. Fuck quality, TEAR DOWN THOSE THAT SHADOW MEEREEEEE~

I mean, it's one thing to have it do mildly better and just be worse than Disneyland's attendence overall due to the park size. That's something I could understand given that Disneyworld is a far bigger and busier park on average. BUT IT'S LOWER ATTENDANCE...

That's just how western developers roll nowadays, they often make characters ugly, it started with women but increasingly it's even men.

It reminds me of Prey 2017, which was a good game but most of the characters were ugly, Fallen Order might still be a good game, it's just something you have to deal with with gaming today.

I remember when I got Injustice 2 and realized how fucking weird (if not ugly) most faces looked, ESPECIALLY the females. Seems its only gonna get worse as games go for more "realistic" instead of stylized designs.

It's not "realistic", it's just that they have to make them ugly or their game will get bad reviews.

How many fucking stories did we get in the old EU about a Jedi having to survive during the purge? Or, even worse than that, we just had Kanan and Ahsoka doing the same thing in the new canon. Starkiller was a marty stu in a dumb fun game, but at least the idea of being Vader's secret apprentice instead of a sekrit Jedi was kind of fun. At the very least do something slightly interesting like giving the main character a yellow lightsaber or something, since we haven't seen that color outside of the Temple Guards.

This is what people point to when they say Disney is just so safe and unfun.

I do wonder how much of this is growing pains of new technology and not necessarily politically motivated.

The faces in some recent Capcom games look a little weird for example and that's definitely not thanks to SJWs.

According to what I just found out, the reason they look so weird is because EA wanted the characters faces to be modeled after their actors... Would explain the horrifying uncanny valley effect. But I looked up the actors and they aren't even ugly, they just exaggerated their worst traits and uglie'd them out like they did Kelly M. Tran. Does Disney want all their new talent to look ugly now?

The faces in the new Capcom games also manage to balance fantasy and realism better.
I think the issue here is I am less interested in games with ugly as shit looking characters, but only if the gameplay looks super amazing.
