Did we tho? Idk, with some of the hype around here I thought it was a decent size.
When they said that Vic had the first line ever, it wasn't that much of a stretch to draw the conclusion that it wasn't a big con.
Plus, as said a bit above, it's Hawai, it's in a middle of the ocean, it's not like that many weebs would travel just to attend there.

Duh.

Was the GFM that Jamie Marchi hid under the name Jamie Lynn posted before?

probably late.

Possible useful for connecting people and not much more. If this was an honest donation, cudos. But when I saw Dominique's name I started to doubt and wonder if this was some kind of quid pro quo.

The archive didn't translate well.

I almost forgot about this, didn't think to check that GFM, but yes, it was run by both Allison Crooks and Jamie Marchi.

Holy shit, I guess they really do want as many people there as there would be to form a human chain to the next island for it to "count". :stress:

That 'holocaust was legal' graph is actually a stupid graph about how ecoterrorism should be considered legal, because various other law breakers who were protecting people used to be considered criminals in the past. They're not just comparing historical atrocities to Vic hugging people, they're commandeering the left's current pet project for their insignificant vendetta with a dude who probably fully believes in global warming.

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure the holocaust wasn't even legal. That's why it was kept secret from most of the German people.

With hunt and lynch mob are now for men only, the term for going after women is "whaling."

"Witches" were generally code for 'non-Catholic Christian'. Women were not at all the chief target of witch hunts, because what we would consider to be witches were never even the target in the first place. Catholics had a MASSIVE MURDEROUS HATEBONER for non-Catholic Christians in particular. They killed millions in various ways. Calling them witches was just one of those methods.

Boy would it piss off the "pagan" misandrists to know that the primary victims were actually the Christians.

Called it.

Also, lol. Expecting a convention in Hawaii to be packed.

Even ignoring the fact that it's in Hawai'i, from the looks of things, it's a sci-fi/fantasy convention with something of a literary/educational bent. Generally, attendance for cons like that aren't super high, particularly since the tickets were pretty expensive (apparently $129 for the weekend at the door). Even in a major metropolitan area, these types of cons often struggle to get more than a few thousand attendees. He also seems to have been the only real weeb-related guest there, unless you wanna count Mindy Sterling's role in Korra, which kinda makes him having any sort of lines there pretty impressive.

When you're fat and fucking ugly like most of KV, or a piece of shit coward who went protected for being called out like Whaler Mars Says, seeing a line, no matter how short or long it is, is out of the ordinary. The lines still look more lively than the lines for Jamie Marchi, even with all the black men who have a fetish for fat white women with limbs that look like cottage cheese.

Edit: Look at this dried up raisin who couldn't make it anymore obvious she was reading a teleprompter that has a speech impediment like she was missing teeth.

Witches in the time of the witch hunts were more likely to be Catholic. It was the protestants whose interest in witch hunting was piqued by the very Protestant King James who wrote the book on how to identify a witch - Demonology. The Catholics just liked to burn heretics. They didn't necessarily claim you were a witch to do so.

You talk about this like the different Christian institutions in western Europe following the Protestant Reformation weren't all mutually at each other's throats and would do the exact same thing with each other.

Also, my impression was that witches were called witches. If they wanted to ventilate a Christian that didn't agree with their views in their land, they'd call them a heretic and charge them with trying to lead souls astray/disturb the peace of the land.

Inquisitors disproportionately targeted Protestants, so arguably it was both A and B, and in either case it still wasn't 'women who were too independent' like the boring feminists and wiccans like to claim these days. 'Witch' was just code for 'practices a form of our religion we find heretical'.

You also forfeited your property when you were convicted of such offenses. Generally to whoever was bringing the prosecutions.
