Dammit, Phil, how fucking hard is it to pour water in a cup of noodles and stick that shit in a microwave for three minutes? Is there any evidence to suggest that he even knows how to cook, even if it's just a microwave meal? Shit, man, you'd be a lot less poor than you are, now, if you just bought microwave pizzas and cooked them yourself, instead of ordering takeout every time someone sends you food money.

Oh look, a fat, lazy, jobless loser is lecturing useful working people about the job market and economy. And he is wrong on so many levels. Rich business are in fact job creators. They are usually the ones who can afford to start and maintain the businesses. It's those businesses that offer job opportunities for people. When people work those jobs they earn money and pay taxes. Those taxes go to pay for programs like disability benefits and EBT cards for people who don't work. It's really a simple concept.

Businesses also produce/distribute the products and food we enjoy. If it weren't for businesses then we wouldn't have delivery pizza, electronics, food in our grocery stores, clothes at Hot Topic, etc. Without money we then no one would make, produce, or grow anything.

And it isn't just rich people who start businesses. There are plenty of small business owners who start from nothing and become very successful, so long as their business actually fills a need or provides a useful service, and is run competently. The US is one of the few places left where someone can start with nothing and become wealthy if they work hard, have a marketable idea, and make wise business decisions.

Whenever I see Phil or people like him bitching about the rich people or harping about workers being exploited when they themselves don't work, all I see are havenots who are jealous and bitter about the haves. I see lazy, selfish people who are terrified of an honest day's work, earning their own way through life, and being responsible for themselves. So instead of working hard, applying themselves to improve themselves, and getting educated so they can find a better job, they'd rather live off the backs of their fellow man. That's not to say that everyone who goes on disability or welfare are just lazy leeches who just don't want to work, but it's common enough that its become a stereotype.

And none of this addresses "old money" or people who inherited their fortunes who don't own any businesses. How are they oppressing the workers? What about people who get rich investing their own money in the stock market? What about actors, musicians, or professional athletes? They're all rich, but they never had employees to supposedly exploit?

Yet he wants everyone to believe he's an expert on this shit. Phil wouldn't be so insufferably obnoxious if he wasn't always acting like a smug expert on whatever subject he's on. He clearly knows sweet fuck-all about most topics and just parrots whatever the people he looks up to say. If he realized that everyone knows he's just full of shit and stopped acting like a know-it-all, then he might actually find a real friend or two. But then, if he was capable of even that rudimentary level of self-awareness, he probably wouldn't have a thread here.

Are you sure about that? The conquistadors would routinely goad Native American tribes into attacking their enemies with promises of support (which they provided, including troops with firearms), then kill their remaining "allies" after the other tribe was all dead. Their mindset might have been a bit different but they were every bit as brutal as the English or Dutch.
