I do find the belief that the only thing you need to be a woman is the internal feeling of being a woman appalling.

Well there were studies about the makeup of the brain and how there was some really solid evidence that, yes indeed, you could very well have a woman's brain in a man's body and vice-versa. I remember how pissed off LaBelle got and called the tests transphobic ( or some such made up shit). Like you want to prove it? HERE YOU FUCKING GO! 100% medical backup for the claims and he fought it.

As I recall these were sketchy at best.
But even if the brain mapping is more similar it doesn't change the sex. And what if someone has a "woman's mapping" but feels great being male? And vice versa.
But indeed this could allow to differentiate who is really trans and who isn't which is a problem to people like Labelle.
The downside is it could lead to eugenics (map people's brains, dictate what they do based on results) but that's another can of worms entirely.

It'd probably only end up reinforcing the huge over representation of autistic kids being transed. It's already about 50% at the NHS Tavistock gender clinic. Autistics really do have different-shaped brains and different brain activity, so a scan would show them to have brains like half of the children already being trooned out by their parents, and that'd be taken as confirmation. Given the genetic component to autism and the sterilising effect of the various hormones they put these kids on, it'd definitely be eugenics.

If we can scan someone’s brain and say they’re trans or not, then that screws things up, because given how many people have trooned out over the last few years, most of them will not be found to have this vanishingly rare condition. So if a trans person is physically male, then the only possibilities are that being trans is a fetish or lifestyle choice, or that it’s their soul that’s trans. If the former, they go to the bottom of the progressive stack. If it’s the latter, there’s no science and they can join the antivaxers and flat-Earthers. Ironically, to maintain scientific credibility, troons have to remain mystical and unknowable.
In Billy’s case, I strongly suspect that an actual study would find a male brain and a correlation between Billy getting molested by an older man and “discovering” he was trans in the same year.

I think they've figured out that talking about enjoying catcalls isn't something that most women do -- so they are just perfecting their womanhood imitation. It is a calculated strategy that is designed to take away one of the criticisms of real women while also trying to garner sympathy for the poor oppressed trans women. See -- the troons really aren't like other men after all ... they don't see catcalls as compliments anymore! They've become real women now, for sure.

Poor old Frank, getting dragged round the clothes shops AND subjected to whining about how troons can't get hair removal. Neither can actual women with PCOS or past the menopause, they just suck it up and shave. Or they just let it grow and don't worry about it, because they're not obsessed with changing their body. Yeah, this "we have different brains uwu" it's basically everywhere on troon social media. If you can identify trans with a simple brainscan, why basing the transing (especially for kids) why subjective perception, when you have an allegedly bullshit-proof method to say who is trans and who is not? Last year in Canada a man identified as a woman because he was sick and tired to pay a higher car insurance. I saw a few genderspecials commenting on their social media with "Please don't do this bullshit". Now, putting aside the fact that it's those morons' fault if the situation in Canada is like that, I've seen nobody clamoring for brainscans in order to prevent this kind of issues.
