Good Lord trying to wrap my brain around all this double-think is going to give me a stroke, and LaBelle has no room to be shaming anyone for "preying on the vulnerable" either. Cosmetic surgeries and hair removal are NOT medically necessary. Non-binary people technically don't exist as far as biology and chromosomes concerned. A person can self identify as anything they want and no matter what they want to be reality remains the same, and even if a person is XXY, XXX, XYY, etc, they are still falling within some scope of the binary. And you know what? Medical science isn't going to be completely rewritten to placate the feelings of fat guys in dresses. I don't care how much exceptional shit people like Bill Nye do to cater to the woke crowd, it's not going to fucking happen until legit medical evidence exists and in a large enough percentage of the population as to not be classified as a complete biological anomaly.

Additionally, what in the blue fuck is "trans-liberation"? Is there some kind of tranny gulag forcing troons to mine for coal as slave labor? Are gorillians of hairy men in high heels be lined up against walls and shot in some ghetto? Are UwU soft bois being whipped and lashed for having hair that looks like toothpaste and chest binding? Are the agender doorknob-kin being rounded up by force in their homelands and then being auctioned off into slavery? Or is it the more realistic "give me everything I demand and I get to call you a bigot for it" bullshit people like LaBelle really want?

No, but in 72 countries homosexuality is illegal, and in 10 it carries the death penalty, and so in these countries, trooning out is often forced on gay men as a way to escape it. In Iran, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia and some parts of India it's a well established part of the culture, trans is tolerated but gay men absolutely are not. The Iranian government will even offer to fund trans surgeries for gay men and lesbians as an alternative to execution.
All of which makes Stephie's "tee hee if you were a girl we'd be gay!" shit even more galling. Notice Frank never actually says it's okay to be gay, or that he is gay, he just says "I don't mind being called gay for dating a trans girl" and then acts all grossed out (I think? Not sure what that facial expression is) when asked if he would be gay. Like most trans activism there's some weird subtle homophobia to it.

A good writer would go with Frank is actually gay story arc. Accidental as set up might be, it’s just so good story idea for deep and interesting character drama.

It would start by Frank realizing that he is in fact attracted to guys and only guys. How and why would this happen? Him also understanding that he went for Stephie because her gender identity allows Frank see himself as straight while her male biology is actually what he finds attractive. Why didn’t he realize being a gay guy before? It looks very much like he is deeply homophobic and so why is he like that? Also why he finds trans more acceptable than gay?

This would naturally affect Stephie’s and Frank’s relationship. How will Frank come out to Stepie? Will they stay together? How insulted Stephie feels about Frank seeing her as not gay but still kinda guy? Does she want their relationship above being validated? Is Frank still attracted to Stephie now that he realizes that actually cisguys are an option?

The sad reality is, all of us here give way more of a shit about the treatment of trans and gay people in those countries than LaBelle does. When LaBelle goes spewing poutine about "trans-liberation" or rights or whatever the fuck, he only ever means in North America and Europe. Try this shit in Saudi Arabia, see what happens.

I truly beleive Frank is an insert of some boy LaBelle wanted to molest when he was still teaching school.

These Perplexing Adventures of Ciel comics are actually pretty funny. Sadly every time Sophie writes something that seems self aware I know she's really operating under an incredibly thick layer of irony and it makes it hard to enjoy. I haven't checked on this thread in ages, but wow it's pretty sad to see how much is just reposts of old material. Don't bother getting out of whatever rut pays the patreon I guess.

I'm not sure how much the paedo vibes in AM are intentional, and how much are just Guillaume going off about mature topics and forgetting he's already created these characters as children to make them sympathetic. He could do with either having more adults in the comic talking about this stuff away from the kids, or just not bring it up, or discuss it in a more kid-friendly way. Kids need to know about shit like where babies come from and puberty, they don't need to know about all the creepy stuff he goes on about, though they might be of interest to degenerate adults like him. But then you look at some of the strips and it's really gross and noncey, like the old one where Stephie's at a sleepover with a wee girl and can't shut up about her "big clitoris", and I can't give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.
