They may even try to find a community of like minded individuals to talk to. Porn loses its thrill after a while and then they start trying to be around kids. That adds a level of excitement to fantasize about a real life kid. They get braver and start to interact with kids. Once that no longer satisfies their urges, they'll try to have sexual contact. It might just be sex talk (like JY has been doing) but they'll move to actual physical contact with kids if and when they ever get the chance. That's why I think JY is a dangerous individual.

There will never be anything that is enough to satisfy their perversion. And victimizing one kid won't be enough to keep pervs satisfied, they'll keep doing it until they are caught. A sex doll might slow them down, but for most it won't stop them from eventually trying to touch a real child. We already know JY has had child porn in his possession and that didn't stop him from trying to groom young girls or be around them in bathrooms or changing rooms. I doubt a sex doll would do anything other than make the fantasy of having sex with a young girl even more appealing.

I'm not convinced. It may well be that having underage sex dolls will increase offending, not decrease it. Certainly in Coalinga treatment consists of not having any images of children at all, and offenders who do have images of children are considered 'not cured' and thus not eligible for release. Louis Theroux made an interesting documentary about Coalinga called A Place For Pedophiles. I found a copy here.

Incidentally, California's Sexual Violent Predator laws are a model for the rest of the world. Which is odd, since most things in California are more or less the exact opposite of a model for the rest of the world.

However the tampon fetish has been going on for many years longer then that. As regards Canada, the whole 'identity is reality' thing is fairly new here and was pushed through without proper debate or preparation. There are plenty of cracks in the process, which is where JY is succeeding in slipping through. At least this IS pointing out the flaws in the already poorly thought out policy, and it will be that much easier to reverse it, or at the very least fix the cracks so the policy is not so easily exploited any more.
