Imagine Gwen looking at the twisted, curled-in creature whose own organ growth is destroying it, and telling her to hang on just a little longer and fight for life.

Any good mother would have made her peace with the guilt and told the poor little thing it was ok to find peace and go into the light, something like half a dozen life-threatening illnesses ago. Imagine praying for this existence to continue, instead of for a peaceful end.

This was the best news I heard today. Bittersweet because this was where I first posted but Lola is free from her pain and her toxic mother has no way to get any benefits anymore. I hope that in heaven they’re able bodied and can run and sing and play like girls should be able to. Rest In Peace Lola.

Cal was last seen buying a shotgun and shells as well as some nails, some wooden boards and a hammer.
As well as these items:

These girls should have never been brought into this world, it is unbelievably cruel. I have no doubts that they were in pain, all living and breathing creatures feel it; these poor sacks of meat just didn't have the brain capacity to communicate it.

Any bets on how long it will take for them to make another one?

When Lola got that cold and was hospitalized a few weeks ago, I knew it wouldn’t be long. It irritates me to no end that Gwen says that her daughter chose to stay, or go. Nobody can choose when they die, otherwise nobody would be dead. Especially somebody who never knew they were alive. But it made me laugh when she said Lola descended to Heaven.

This thread has never been about the poor kids, despite a new shitlord or two who tried to make it seem that way. It’s been about Gwen and her incredible imagination and belief these two sad creatures had any humanity in them. She’s so convinced of their superpowers and special communication that she’s going to really be suffering. I said in an early page that I didn’t think these potatoes could interpret pain and I hope that’s true, still, the idea that she was willing to take that chance for so long and do no feeding or medicating was horrifying.

I don’t think she’ll have more kids-she’s too old, and getting pregnant at her age, while not impossible, is pretty rare. Plus, she could have a normal one and that’s not what makes her feel special. I also don’t think she’ll “sully” the memory of her angels by taking more in. Those who said she’ll start a foundation or something are right. Or maybe she’ll write a book, something like that.

Cal can now get married without having to push those girls down the aisle in a cart like flower children, or his bride worrying about shit on her wedding dress. Mostly, he’s free of the fear of having to care for them if his parents got in an accident. He knows if he carries the gene or not so can take precautions if necessary.

I will bet his relationship with his mom deteriorates. He’s played 3rd fiddle for a long time, and her sudden focus on him is going to make him very uncomfortable. Their whole lives as a family revolved around the potatoes and it’s going to be hard for Gwen to let go. She’ll turn her attention to him, even at his age. Worse, any kids he may have. I doubt his basketball career will go beyond college but I hope he finds a way to create a life a few thousand miles away.

Anyway, RIP to creatures who never should have been born or lived. It will be interesting to see what Gwen eventually focuses on. She’s probably not going to do anything for a long time as her entire (and intense and time-consuming) purpose for the past 17 years has gone and I bet the next year is her in bed, maybe posting old photos from time to time. She kept Claire’s funeral pretty quiet so no reason to think Lola’s will be different.

F for what used to be a good thread.

Most decent non-fundies (key word) religious people would have figured God was calling her home a dozen illnesses ago and let her die. Whether or not Lola could feel anything, Gwen's a goddamned monster just because this says a lot how she'd treat real living humans, too (eg Cal, her fucking living son who's better off without her).

This story is why I am pro choice. Children being brought into this world alive but not living is one of the cruelest things done. Not the cruelest but close to it.

Of all her bullshit, being a pro-life fundie isn't one of them. She chose to bring at least the second potato into the world after knowing it was a potato.
