Apparently Patreon doesn't charge you upfront when you pay to join Rekieta's Discord.

So what JMK would do is "pay" the $5 entry fee to get in, wait until the end of the month (before getting charged) to cancel and then "pay" the entry fee again to get back into the Discord.

Basically, JMK was doing his exceptional little gay ops without paying a single cent.

Since Patreon only provides the venue upon which transactions between users are made, we do not issue refunds on behalf of creators.
If a patron would like to request a refund, they will need to contact the creator in order to do so.
Creators can issue refunds from their Patron Manager...

Unless they changed how things work, if you aren't over a certain value in your patreon pledge to a creator, you don't get charged immediately, and you only get charged at the first of the month. This was a bit of an issue for a while when patreon was new because people abused it to gain free access by cancelling before they got charged and then renewing. Haven't really looked into it recently though to see if they added protection against it besides banning accounts that abuse it, but the last pledge I made didn't get charged right away either while I did get immediate access.

Think I remember Nick saying that Vic doesn't have much of a case to sue RT, since they had the right to fire him for any reason (Texas) and they were never dumb enough to defame him like Funi did.

At this point, it'd probably be a waste of money and time to sue them. They're already dying. Staff laid off, abused animators, neglect of beloved shows, pushing of political agendas, firing of popular voice actors due to internet rumors, "it's a cartoooooon" etc pp.

Nick did a special Rooster Teeth. There are a few avenues to sue them.

Miles Luna has enough weight at RT to be considered a "Vice Principle" because he can make decisions. Since he waded into the fray initially supporting Monica, it could be considered defamation.

If Funimation gave them a "heads up" they were firing Vic, that might be conspiracy.

Nick has a source that someone riled the voice actors up against Vic.

RT's investigation was practically nonexistent. This becomes important if Vic is an employee because there are federal standards. (Nick talked about Texas having "tests" about whether a person is an employee or independent contractor. Otherwise companies would call everyone an independent contractor while treating them like employees.)

It would depend on what came out during discovery during phase 1.

Being listed in credits for acting is a union thing, not a law thing, and Funi isn't a union shop. Could potentially be used as evidence of other shenanigans, but not illegal by itself.

This was an RT information book being sold in their shop listing RWBY info. RT isn't union so it wouldn't be illegal.

Just shady as all hell.

IIRC, the "pay upfront" method is an option a creator can swich on in his patron manager, this decision is not reversible, AFAIK.

We already knew they are scummy as hell, lest you forget their email slip up where Vic was asking what rule he broke to get fired and the cowards accidentally cc'd him the "nobody answer him".

What trash.

Supposed round 2. Though Rooster Teeth seemingly has a lot of... Disgruntled employees that are happy to leak material. Ty may not have needed round 1 to be successful against RT.

Honestly, I've heard some say that the financial Ls RT has been taking were a long time coming considering their business model.

As a wiseman said "Don't do that. Don't give me hope."
If it was anime it would be a perfect moment to turnabout. I honestly expecting the lose of the case, but I didn't expect it to be like that. There is a substance to the case, the judge should at least take a look at it. What normal person looks at Ron's deposition and says "Yup, this person is telling the truth, nothing to see here" ? Maybe at this point Vic stopped being such a good person and unleashes the dogs of war. Ty was way too nice for those cuckfaces.

I am worrying about Sabat and such deleting all their stuff in the meantime. I think they never had a letter about preserving the information, they have no obligation to keep it.

Also I found that picture, that perfectly shows Monica and her cronies and metoo in general.

I feel this message is chaotic but the whole case is one nonstoping ride of nonsense.

And you mocked vic by drafting his email to funimation higher ups. But yes you definitely helped vic go in the right direction.

Eat shit monica.
I've come to the conclusion Monica if she was by some cosmic force not bullshiting just has resting bitch face for her voice and tone. in other words there is literally no way she can ever come off as sincere or actually friendly out of her control.
Like shes just a pure being of condescension

If what you say is true, I can’t see why Vic should even bother suing them. Yes, it was shady as fuck what they did and they deserve to be dragged into court, but if you think about it, it’s poetic justice that they have lost tons of money, customers and even their employees this year. They already had their limbs cut off. Why bother going for the head?

And in other news, since the MBA topic is still under destruction, it looks like one of his 'ex-league' members spilled the beans on stuff as far back as 2017.

And it looks like this info was sent to clothespins too, and here's their take on the info:

I was implying the action itself was shady as hell, no matter who it was done to. But the fact they seem to have kept Gray Haddock, Kathleen Zuelch and Shane Newville, people who did actual damage to Rooster Teeths brand, in the book just makes it stand out more.

It just seems even more petty than what I expected. They memory holed Vic in a 1984 style.

Honestly, I've heard some say that the financial Ls RT has been taking were a long time coming considering their business model.

I think Time Warner pumped them up, floated RT's creative stuff and then ripped the support away. They didn't realize their business plan sucked because it hadn't been tested in years.

I think that if Funimation retracts RT would follow. It would be more "clean up" work than anything. Basically so no one can say "RT's investigation found him guilty."

KirstenMunro3 is now @StarlightGirl23 now. Looks like Ron is salty about the appeal.

Good, I hope the idiot is salty.

I smell a Ron orbiting, suck up twat.
It's not gonna dry up, hon, because we won't let it. Do you really think we'd let you feces chunks get away with this? No. You need to learn that there's a process and a system for this and if we need to teach it to you the hard way then we will. You'll learn, no matter how much you kick and scream, bitch.
