It will make for very handy pictures for anyone who wants to show others what is wrong in sports. I tell people what is going on and they don't believe it, they think that right wingers are making things up. That flag will make it much more obvious what is happening, and also obvious that rhys isn't intersex or a statistical outlier woman, he is a man, and he is proud to be a man who is competing in women's sports.

It would be terrific if a woman who finishes behind RM got up on the podium waving her own flag with a female symbol, just to see how this gets handled if they both have a flag. But it's such a risk for the female athlete to take, there's no blaming any woman who feels she can't make a statement like that, especially during the event itself. It might work out better for female athletes who want to continue competing if they voice their criticisms from home, once the competition is over. But any female athlete their who dares take a stand at the competition? Go for it, you'll be a shero.

Amazon prime video just acquired Futurama a little while ago, so I watched a couple of episodes this weekend and it occurred to me that the episode Bend Her was made in 2002.


Less than 20 years ago the premise that a man would have an overwhelming advantage if they competed in women's sports was so universally accepted that you could fashion a 20 minute joke around it. I imagine if someone tried the same thing today, the REEEEing would be heard from space.

So there's one (of the 1,001) things that makes me sperg out about Rhys. Even if this is only the 35-39 'masters' cycling and not the Olympics, there's still a certain athleticism to it, the women clearly train hard and get into shape.

Then old Pillsbury McPresley turns up looking like he's just polished off his third plate of Fool's Gold sandwiches and walks the gold.

He argues he can't be a cheat because he doesn't win every time. Yes, but imagine what records you would break and how many golds you would win if you put an iota of effort in, learnt how to weightlift properly, and lost the gut!

The problem with the argument is that they could be allowed to compete in men's classification. They want the right to compete against women. They are already allowed in sports, they just want the sport to bend to their wants.
