Jaron Seth Bloshinsky / Jazz Jennings / I Am Jazz - Puberty Blockers: Not Even Once

That's the thing though. Intersex people are intersex and have their own issues. They aren't otherwise-healthy people so we can't apply the same rules. Same for women with ovarian issues. They're still women.
Hell, even then it's iffy. A few years back it was still common to prescribe estrogen to menopausal women. Turns out that was a bad idea.
I'm not arguing the health of it though. These women and, so far as I know extremely rare intersex cases, still maintain a libido once their hormones are properly balanced, without proper working reproductive functions.

Men for example can have their testicles removed, but still take testosterone, and achieve orgasms and erections just as they did with their balls.

If the sexual tissue was still there (and I know it's not any more), it should have been a sensitive little clitty I would have thought.

But like you said, the tissue may be similar, but similar is not the same.

I just don't think we know enough (nor should we), but it's super interesting to me on an autistic level.

Educate yourself with this. I'm pretty sure it was this thread it was posted in many pages back. Thank you for whoever posted it. It's fascinating.

I did actually add that video to my watch later list. That YouTuber in general is very good. I will watch it, I didn't realize it might be relevant to my questions.

Yeah, the only thing missing here is going through puberty. Something that Jazz never went through.

Again, wouldn't the estrogen make him go through female puberty? Wouldn't that mean at the very least he isn't prepubescent?

I must be autistic and missing something here
No. Because estrogen isn't a magic pill that turns you into an adult woman. You need estrogen AND testosterone to go through puberty, but a male can't go through female puberty. Every single cell in Jazz' body has a y chromosome and is built from conception to work with male-type hormones. The body doesn't know what to do with testosterone suppressants + exogenous estrogen + puberty blockers because the "blueprint" doesn't exist.

You're kind of excluding an important detail here, but I don't want to tip off @Tao Te Chong yet.

You slept through sex ed, didn't you?
Don't be obtuse. You're saying because he doesn't have female reproductive organs? I already said you can still induce libido and secondary sexual characteristics without functioning organs though, just through hormones alone.

If that was the case why does it promote breast growth? Why does it change your musk? All of those things still exist in us in a vestigial fashion. It's just waiting for the right kind of hormones to act.

Women with PCOS or CAH have excess testosterone, effects of which include excess hair growth, deeper voices, enlarged clits in CAH, and fertility problems. They are still women because they were born women. The testosterone "changed" their bodies, but didn't turn them into men because it can't.

Trans people like to claim that they'll have a "second puberty" on HRT. It's just cosmetic, not actual body changes. A man isn't going to suddenly form ovaries, a uterus, fallopian tubes, etc in his abdominal cavity because he's on estrogen. A woman's clit isn't going to turn into a dick after being on T. Your biology is hard set. Not even surgery can change that. Jazz will never be female (and therefore go through female puberty) because he is a male. All the estrogen did to him was give him tuberous breasts and further shrink his needle dick. You can see the breasts when he doesn't wear a bra. They look like orangutan tits. Estrogen altered his body, but not for the best and certainly not in the way it would to a woman.

PS- a lot of guys on estrogen or have excess estrogen lessen or lose their libido. When Jazz was suggested T to enlarge his dick (for more surgery material) there was also the hope that it'd give him some sense of a libido.

It's not "waiting" for anything.

In a way though isnt that just what she is using her child to give herself fame. On most pageant shows the parents seemed to get a whole lot more out of it then the children. I've always been surprised there wasnt a thread on that here.
Yeah, an "Munchhausen By Proxy and Pageant Moms" thread would be a nice addition to Beauty Parlor.

I'm not claiming he is a women, and I don't think taking testosterone makes a women a man. I think these definitions and distinctions are important, and not at all arbitrary. I fully agree with you.

You're willing to admit that "The testosterone "changed" their bodies", but then you contradict yourself by saying "It's just cosmetic, not actual body changes.", but your definition of "actual changes" disregards "actual changes" lol. You see what i'm saying?

If you took Jazz, and you cut him off from his Estrogen, but kept blocking his Testosterone to the levels they are at, his mental state is going to deteriorate rapidly. That's because the Estrogen modulations his mind just as much as it would any biological women. That's not me saying he's a women, mind you, but that's me pointing out that he absolutely has undergone clear feminization through hormone replacement therapy, just as a chick would when going through puberty.

Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that if you give a woman without Ovaries Estrogen you can stabilize her biology and sexuality to that of normal levels, just as you can give a man without Testicles Testosterone to allow him to achieve orgasms and erections.

No. Because he's a male.
Not claiming he isn't. I am saying he has undergone some degree of female puberty.

It's not "waiting" for anything.
Certain biological functions are active or semi-active, depending on the circumstances. If coaxed in the right manner they will activate, as is the case with excessive Testosterone in women and excess Estrogen in men. Why else would men grown breasts when given more Estrogen? Why else would the Clit enlarge in women when given Testosterone? Biology is a menagerie of repurposed organs and vestigial functions all built chaotically over top of each other. It would be more surprising to me that these sorts of things wouldn't happen when given Estrogen or Testosterone.

...

This is starting to stray into a more generalized discussion of Transgenderism overall though, which isn't my intention, and this isn't the place for that. I do think the definition of "Prepubescent" is a tad narrow, though I can certainly concede that Jazz is neither fully formed in either direction, though I think it's a stretch to say that he is entirely "Prepubescent" by this point after experiencing years of hormone therapy.

I'll leave it at that. It's really just a mild disagreement of syntax and hardly worth sperging over.

Just because some has lost their goods doesn't mean that they'll entirely be the same with hormones. But a guy can't really go through a woman's puberty because he doesn't have the organs for it. Granted, he might grow some tits, but there's no guarantee that they'll be attractive or functional.

That’s not even getting into the fact that a male body needs normal levels of testosterone and estrogen to function properly. Screwing with this isn’t akin to puberty and is not healthy in the slightest.
All the cells in his body are male and need functioning hormone levels. Screwing with it doesn’t tell his cells to change to be able to process the opposite gender’s hormone levels. I’d be surprised if he lived passed his 30s without irreparable damage showing up.
