If this lawsuit was so frivolous, why would they want to get evidence Ty and his team has? All these recent moves they are making sound really shady. What are they going to do with it since they "won"? Are they attempting to dig up dirt to try and twist things to defame Vic further? Perhaps they are planning some sort of attack on those who supported Vic in all this too.

Very strange...

You'd think they'd just worry about trying to get their sanctions and fees... and that's it. This doesn't sound like how a case would normally end after a ruling.
Now that you think about it, that’s got me thinking: what if they wanted the evidence to see who was the Funimation info leaker and who were the ones talking to either Nick or BHBH? What if they’re trying to find out who their “traitors” are?

I’m admittedly conflicted by this: on one hand, it shows how disgusting and pathetic and morally corrupt these people truly are. On the other hand, the curious side of me wants to know myself since I think it would be poetic justice if Monica finds out who her “friends” truly were, because remember: Nick himself said that if Monica found out who those “friends” were, she would feel the same kind of betrayal Vic felt for what she did to him.

While I want her to be betrayed, and feel the sting, I'd rather it happen when she has no power. Right now she's riding off of the win and for that information to come out now would mean that any future whistleblowers and informants would be discouraged.

We need people to feel safe if we want to know the truth about what happens at Funi and what is happening in his old social circles.
They need safety.

And this is a scary thing to consider because it means they aren't protected from discrimination for sharing an opinion and making sure the truth is known.

We should not really care too much about those notices, lemon already showed once he likes posturing but can't actually pull it of (The Nick deposition), this is either that, they are going after the GoFundMe, they reaching because they know appeals courts are going to fuck em, they are posturing in hopes it intimidates either Vic or Vic's sources, or they are trying to get information on who is leaking.

Anyway, until the Lemon puts up, it's not really a big deal.

I was thinking this was why they were asking for evidence. Nick probably hit too close to home on everything to be making wild guesses.

I watched Rekieta’s stream this morning in bits and pieces, and here are some very interesting parts regarding Vic and the appeals:
  • Nick says that the notice of appeal is due on 10/24 and implies it’s coming either today or tomorrow.
  • It will be a short letter; further documents will be fleshed out in the future.
  • Lemoine’s laughable letter states that he requests a hearing to serve but not fill billing records and insists on a 2-hour evidentiary hearing despite not speaking to Supreme Court.
  • Nick says that they want a hearing to avoid objections, which is stupid because objections can be made at a hearing and even on paper.
  • Also, Chupp gave them what they wanted, so why would they want a hearing?
  • They don’t want the public to see their billing invoices. Nick theorizes (and I feel the same on this) that Ron may not have been honest about those legal fees at the deposition.
  • Long story short, Lemoine’s letter is exactly what we all thought it was: a desperate attempt to cover their tracks and waste more time and the plaintiff’s money.
  • Nick reveals that Vic’s appeal court will take place at Fort Worth - Court of Appeals of Texas, 2nd District, Fort Worth. Bryce King, Camisha L. Simmons and David Van Leeuwen will be the three judges.
  • More interesting is what happened near the end during the super-chat regarding Michelle Specht. Nick says that Specht is not exactly innocent herself, her preying on his Christian beliefs may be act to “hide her demons”, and hints that her relationship may have ended earlier because she was SO not a “random thot”.

I'm going to guess Lemoine hasn't been paid in a few months and the senior partners are getting angry about it.

Or he paid Sharon Grigsby for the favorable media coverage.

Or Ron has been embezzling money to pay for this.

Here is the archive if anyone wants it.

There were some guys over there arguing to convince a "neutral" to support Vic. And the V7 trailer dropped so people were probably going there to bitch about it.

People at conventions rarely take their issues to the very accessible convention staff, let alone going a step beyond that to facility staff or even the actual police. (part of how we got here in the first place is all these harassed people have never made an actual complaint to any legal authority) Also, I kind of want to know who this guy is, because I would actually imagine that while his employer might take action if something major was brought to their attention, it is much more likely that they would not want a random employee telling random wackos to talk to the facility about any problem they might have leading to both potentially fielding many more complaints than they are designed to handle and also opening them up to a lot of liability.

Which is why I again say some people should really take him up on his offer and start spamming the facility management with all the risks they are subjecting their visitors to, especially if rumors and hearsay are the standard by which we manage risk assessment. Again, if Vic is half as bad as his accusers claim, why has no one taken a restraining order against him? It seems like it would be incredibly simple to setup a situation where he is legally not able to be with X feet of you.
Well the incident was reported to the Irving center when it happened. That's why it's funny when they try hard and think they have a gotcha.

Correction Nick outright told them, I have a source close to you, and if you knew who it is you would cry like the babies you are. I am paraphrasing of course, but that was the gist, they may appear to be stupid enough as to not believe what Nick says, but it's mostly a front to keep up appearances, except for Toye, he just might be that stupid.

Edit also if Ron did embezzled money for either paying the media coverage or some of the affidavits that would be hilarious, even more funny if he only "borrowed it" expecting the TCPA to pay out. If that happens to be the case... Man that would be funny.

Yes, I think it was in that infamous audio leak stream that he described his source as a “he” (unless he was being misdirect), but he also mentioned that he had “voice actors” coming up to him, telling him how much they hated Monica and even gave him and Ty some info. So those VA’s may not be just male, but female also.

We know how nice and friendly Monica and Marchi are, do they really think there aren't dozens of people waiting for any chance to stab them in the back? Monica has a very easy range, so does Marchi, if they are out of the picture more work for any of their friends.

And that is without even going on them as people, considering how smug and assholeish the two seem to be anyone that has to deal with them for extended periods of time would probably want them to suffer if only for catharsis.

But yeah I agree with your assessment, Nick probably has more than one source, if he had only one then he wouldn't have been so overt with revealing he had a source.

If this whole thing taught me anything, it’s that voice actors can be just as vindictive and hateful towards each other as the actors in Hollywood. You can bet there are number of people (especially Vic’s friends) who would absolutely knife her and her clique the minute the opportunity rises. If someone as charismatic as Vic can get fucked over, then all these people can as well. How beautiful would it be if it turned out to be someone super close to Monica, someone who has known her as far back as the ADV years? That’s why I can’t wait til that day comes.

Chuck Huber may want to watch his back. He may think he can mediate and play neutral between sides but I'm fairly certain the defendants have a "you're either with us in destroying Vic or against us." I'm getting hitman vibes from this list of people. This man clearly isn't in their good graces.

Such fuckery

If Ty aimed to try and get one of the idiots that submitted an affidavit with straight up bullshit on it thrown in jail you'd bet there would be a REEEEEEEEE mob.
