US CA Rep. Katie Hill Allegedly Involved Female Staffer In 2-Yr ‘Throuple’ Relationship - (Ho-CA)

Freshman Rep. Katie Hill (D-CA), Vice Chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, shared with Elle in a June 2019 interview a quote from the late Rep. Elijah Cummings, Chairman of the Committee “that has stuck with her.”

In one of those first meetings, Hill says, Cummings said something that has stuck with her. “It [was] that our role on Oversight is to get to the truth and to follow the truth wherever it leads us and to expose that for the American people,” Hill tells me over the phone. “To make sure that they have the information that they should have to, frankly, evaluate their government.”
It is in that spirit that we are sharing information obtained from multiple confidential sources relating to Rep. Hill, who’s currently in divorce proceedings. It is this writer’s view that events that occur within a marriage or affairs that lead to its demise should be kept between the parties involved and are not the business of the general public. When those events or affairs occur within one of the parties’ workplace, though, and that workplace is the United States Congress, the public should know about them as they determine that elected official’s fitness to serve.

Photographs and text messages obtained by RedState show that Rep. Hill was involved in a long-term sexual relationship with a female campaign staffer. The woman, whose name is not being released, was hired by Hill in late 2017 and quickly became involved in a “throuple” relationship with Hill and her estranged husband, Kenny Heslep.

Heslep and the staffer, according to text messages provided to RedState, believed the polyamorous arrangement to be a long-term, committed relationship. The trio took multiple vacations together, including to Alaska, where this photograph was taken.

RedState was also provided with intimate photographs of the women, which we have chosen not to publish.

According to a source close to the staffer, the throuple agreed to continue their committed relationship when Hill moved to Washington, D.C. on January 2019, but that Heslep and the staffer quickly noticed a difference in Hill’s demeanor. By late May, Hill broke off her relationships with both Heslep and the staffer, claiming she wanted to focus on “this important work” and that it wasn’t fair to be involved in a relationship. The staffer, as these text messages show, was distraught and trying to figure out how to move on with her life.

In this message, Hill references their continuing work relationship and that she “want[ s] it to be as ok as possible.”

The staffer asks if the political risk led Rep. Hill to end the relationship.

To which Hill replied:

No. I mean I guess maybe partially. Honestly, though, it’s that I want to be alone.
I don’t want to be accountable to anyone else. I want to be entirely focused on this work that I think is so important
And that’s not fair to anyone as a partner.
According to the text messages reviewed, after Hill left the throuple Heslep was told “by numerous sources” that Hill had been involved in a sexual relationship for a year with her then-finance director, now Legislative Director, Graham Kelly. In a post on his now-deleted Facebook account, Heslep posted a screenshot of a text message between himself and a friend of the couple in which the friend admits that he now knows about the Hill/Kelly affair.

Heslep asked the friend:

I’m just going to ask you this plainly bc I respect you. Did you know about Graham and Katie?
The reply:

I do know, yes, but I didn’t know until recently.
After Heslep found out about the alleged affair between Hill and Kelly, he filed for divorce.

A review of FEC records for Hill’s 2018 and 2020 campaigns reveals that the staffer was first paid in November 2017, with her payment classified as “salary,” making her an employee. California law doesn’t expressly prohibit consensual sexual relationships between an employer and a direct report, but it’s certainly a murky legal and ethical area. Some legal pundits contend that an employee can’t truly consent to a sexual relationship with the person who signs their paycheck.

Also of concern in the alleged throuple relationship is the age differential between Hill, Heslep, and the staffer. The staffer was 22 and a new college graduate when the relationship started; Hill and Heslep were in their 30s.

In addition to the legal and ethical issues raised by allegations of a congresswoman having not one, but two extramarital affairs with people on her staff, concurrently, there are issues of national security. Hill serves on two influential committees in that regard: Oversight and Reform and Armed Service. She has access to extremely sensitive national security information. If people who don’t have our nation’s best interests at heart had access to the photographs, text messages, and other information provided to RedState, Rep. Hill would be an easy blackmail target.

Hill’s office did not respond to a request for comment.

Who fucking cares.
I do for one. A&H seems like a great place to stumble upon nudes of a congressman petting her employee girlfriend's hair while her husband takes the photo, both of whom she is accused of cheating on with other staffers.

I gotta give it up to the Erverlrd Null here, was on one of the MadattheInternet that he predicted more Congressional nudes.

Anyway, here is a Federalist article on this archive link
Media Doesn’t Bat One Eye Over Democrat Congresswoman’s Alleged Affairs With Staffers
After alleged reports, including text messages and photos, of Rep. Katie Hill having multiple affairs with employees came out last week, the media remains silent.

By Madeline Osburn
October 23, 2019

It took four days to get a response from Rep. Katie Hill, D-Calif., on allegations reported by RedState that she was having an extramarital affair with a congressional staffer, and had been in a “throuple” relationship with her husband and a young campaign staffer in her 20s.
After RedState published the allegations on Friday, the silence from the Twitter-media mafia was deafening. There was no meltdown over possible, unseemly House ethics violations. No calls for her resignation. No questions to Democratic colleagues.

The only response from Hill on Tuesday was a quiet FYI to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., denying the allegations, according to Politico. Hill, who is also vice chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, claimed the allegations are a “smear campaign” by her opponents.
Hill, who identifies as bisexual, is married to her now-estranged husband Kenny Heslep. RedState reported that Hill and Heslep were in a long-term, three-way sexual relationship with a young woman who worked on Hill’s campaign. RedState published text messages between Hill and the unnamed staffer, as well as photos of them kissing, and a nude photo of Hill brushing a woman’s hair.
Hill said Capitol Police are now investigating the source of the nude photos and how they got published. “Intimate photos of me and another individual were published by Republican operatives on the internet without my consent,” she said.
RedState reported an additional extramarital affair that Hill was allegedly having with her former finance director and now legislative director, Graham Kelly. Hill denied the allegations, claiming they came from her “abusive husband.”

“Allegations that I have been involved in a relationship with Mr. Kelly are absolutely false. I am saddened that the deeply personal matter of my divorce has been brought into public view and the vindictive claims of my ex have now involved the lives and reputations of unrelated parties,” she told Politico.
Of course if true, the Kelly allegation would violate the House rule that members “may not engage in a sexual relationship with any employee of the House who works under the supervision of the Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner, or who is an employee of a committee on which the Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner serves.”
And although the alleged relationship with the young campaign staffer would not fall under House rules, sexual employer-employee relationships are legal and ethical gray areas. RedState reports that the staffer was 22 and a new college graduate when the relationship started, while Hill and her husband were in their 30s. More text messages revealed in a post on Tuesday by RedState show the staffer’s relationship with Hill may have been a case of power imbalance, keeping the staffer in the relationship for fear of losing her job.
Ironically, in a live taping of Pod Save America, when Hill was asked what she thought the debate over Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh says about politics, she lamented that the Republican Party is run by old, white men, and questioned their innocence. “When you see reactions like Lindsey Graham’s, or some of the other Senators, you can’t help but wonder, what are you afraid of? What’s in your past?”

There is no partisan divide over which congressmen or women are involved in more scandalous affairs or ethics violations — Republicans and Democrats alike have their share of controversies. But as for when elected officials are actually forced to step down because of those controversies? Well, that depends more on the media-mediated court of public opinion.
Sometimes, the public’s ruling is just. Both Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner and Republican Rep. Joe Barton eventually resigned or chose not to seek reelection after they sent nude selfies of themselves to women who were not their wives. But more often than not, the media, you could say the gatekeepers of this public court, sway the rulings according to partisan lines.
Mainstream media journalists, on social media and with the power of their bylines, light up Republicans or conservatives for their controversies, both big and small, while ignoring or sometimes even praising Democrats for their resolve amid misconduct. Novels could be filled with examples of this double standard. The names of scandal-clad Ralph Northam and Justin Fairfax, two Virginia state officials who are still in office, come to mind. But even as recent as last week, we saw more coverage “yas kween”ing Democratic Speaker Pelosi for pointing her finger at Trump (an act the media claimed was racist when a Republican did it) than we did of Hill’s double affair allegation.
A search for “Katie Hill” on the websites of CNN, The New York Times, the Washington Post, and even the local Los Angeles Times turn up zero results related to the RedState reporting. So far only local California talk radio has discussed the real, potential ethical violations at play here.

Perhaps one could argue the media has no reason to weigh in on Hill’s unorthodox sexual preferences or marriage arrangements, but it’s very unlike our mainstream press to give a pass to a sex scandal when victims are involved. Especially if we were discussing an official having an affair with a campaign employee, nearly a decade younger than her, who was a Republican.
Of course this double standard exists, and of course it’s nothing new, but as the Me Too movement claims to embolden victims, no matter how powerful their assailant, the media should not be able to pass on stories according to partisan lines. As power slowly moves from the top to the bottom, maybe, just maybe, the “D” next to a person in power’s name will not be so easy to hide behind.
Specifically for the line "...the staffer’s relationship with Hill may have been a case of power imbalance, keeping the staffer in the relationship for fear of losing her job." What the fuck else would you expect?

"the alleged relationship with the young campaign staffer would not fall under House rules, sexual employer-employee relationships are legal and ethical gray areas." Which to me seems untrue. It's weird to me that a state like CA that takes such a strong stance on trying to protect employees seems to give no shit that its congressman is using tax money to pay an employee while also fucking said employee. Katie must like that power. It's why she is the naked alpha brushing her staffer's hair and her cucksband is working the camera.

According to Yahoo "Heslep stated he has been unable to hold a job for the past 5 years, and that he only has around $200 in his checking account. He claimed Hill has an "extremely high earning potential" as a congresswoman, while he only "has a high school diploma and has been a stay-at-home househusband" throughout the former couple's relationship."

Oh no! Poor Heslep! Heslep-t through his marriage and forgot to get some skills before he divorced his cheating wife!
I apoligize for nothing

I guess she meant something like: "Vote me into a position of power so I can also do what those powerful men can do."

LOL, she will catch more flack from the left for a dumb iron cross tattoo than she will for her and her husband banging the staff.

The blanked out some weird words in those text messages. I think the words might be “slave/dom” basic S&M stuff. I’m going to bet the iron cross has some relation to that, rather than a great love for German War heroes. She looks like the type to think getting a snatch tattoo makes her a regular biker chick too.

She better just fess up to fucking her finance director because the other blanket denials have not worked out well.

I wonder if Morgan (the #3) is the one leaking all this stuff. I’m not sure who else it could be unless Hill wants to blame Russian hackers to keep piling on lies.

shesh, WTF! I thought that was a guy, very manly, rough, looking woman, unless she is Trans, MTF.

The bong/"Nazi" tat picture was taken on September 11, 2017, before recreational marijuana use was legalized in California. Also, if anyone wants to see her ass, which she and her husband posted on reddit, here you go. (archive)

I find it kind of funny that she abandoned her husband (Kenny Heslep) and their girlfriend for her legislative director, and then is claiming he is abusive - she obviously can't claim that the campaign staffer (Morgan Desjardins), who is a woman and a decade younger than her, and whose paychecks she signed, was abusive - in order to try and weasel out of it.

Anyway, as Kiwi Farms' resident government/political rules sperg, she has a few different issues that can crop up from this aside from it affecting her reelection chances (her district has an even PVI, so it's going to be competitive). While the throuple thing with the campaign staffer is definitely frowned upon - if she were a man, she would have been #metoo'd and already resigned over it alone - it's not going to open her up to any direct consequences. The supposed relationship with her legislative director (Graham Kelly), however, may - a relationship by a member of congress with a member of his or her staff is a violation of House rules, and the House Ethics Committee has launched an investigation into it. Not only this, but both relationships and the photos make Hill (or would have made her) vulnerable to blackmail.

If any more stuff comes out, I'd expect Nancy Pelosi to have a long chat with Hill. I don't know that they'll try and force her to resign in that situation (woman and bisexual and Democratic and all of that), but they may strongly encourage her to not seek reelection.

The mainstream media was super slow to pick this up, so if nothing else comes out and the Ethics Committee doesn't find a reason to discipline her, I'd say it's 50/50 as to whether or not she seeks reelection. I can think of different ways she could spin things, but all of them only look good for Woke Twitter, not actual voters. Her only hope would be an exceptionally weak opponent and the same anti-Trump sentiment that put her in office in the first place.

I suppose we are supposed to believe she couldn't be deviant enough to willingly let her husband post in the subreddits "wifesharing" and "wouldyoufuckmywife"? It was her abusive husband posting revenge porn! And he coerced her into getting an iron cross tattoo and taking those bong hitz for 9/11.

Lol that staffers expression. I didn’t know Becky Gerber was elected to Congress.

Every time I see a congressman/woman smoking weed I want to rage harder than a thousand suns.

We have people being thrown into prisons, losing their jobs, and being fined for this shit while the people that run our country and make our laws just run around breaking them doing fuck all to actually change it.

People have been calling her local office unironically asking to party with her en masse, there's an internal memo with instructions for how to field the calls.

It's surprising how indiscrete these Reps are. Ilhan Omar has been cheating on her husband with a political consultant (and apparently married her brother at some point in the past.) AOC's COS was also her lover, they apparently funneled cash through a non-profit to support their lifestyle.

Believe all women. That way, they don't have to answer embarrassing questions.

Eh, this bitch is from California. Most states that haven't fully legalized weed have at least decriminalized it/significantly reduced fines for it or allow for medicinal use. Hell, it's legal in DC. Kamala Harris is still a raging hypocritical asshole, though.

I looked extensively into that rumor about her marrying her brother, it's origin, validity, her response, etc, and I think it's safe to say she did not actually marry her brother.

However it appears she married/civil-unioned a clearly VERY gay dude which might have meant some highly unethical/illegal thing was going on to get someone citizenship.

So the marrying her brother rumor is a highly-racist exaggeration that is probably based on a truth.
