Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

I'm literally giving a play by play of the show. If it seems disorganized it's because the show is horribly disorganized.
Well let’s humor Arin and Dan (Harmon) and try to answer the question “Who do you think this show’s for? What is its purpose?”

no just probably not paying the best attention for some reason I was reading reddit posts and i quess I messed up this site and the other a minor mistake and I apologize for the confusing it caused.
Oh yeah because they tolerate this shit on Reddit, obviously.

I don't know, it's so weird because everyone in the show is so trashy and lazy, they don't get along but yet you as the viewer are supposed to think they're friends?
The drama is so forced and artificial and it seems to actually be mocking the people who play esports as opposed to treating them as anything remotely close to human beings.
I have like... an episode to go I think?
This is bad. No wonder they deleted comments.

Considering that some gamers still pay for Giant Bomb memberships, I’ve come to the conclusion that gamers will listen to anyone who acts brain damaged as long as they have some Nintendo merch hanging around.
They don't have Nintendo merch but Gauntlet is a key plot point for several episodes so far.

"To get Youtube to cut a huge check before they figure out that Youtube Red/Youtube TV/Premium/whatever is garbage that people aren't going to watch".

I'd shit out a mediocre TV show in a hurry if Youtube was cutting checks, too.

For Arin, obviously.

I heard this going around when the series first hit; not entirely sure how accurate it is so take the following with a huge grain of salt.

From what I understand, Harmon (and some other person?) pitched this Good Game idea to Arin, with the Game Grumps in mind as the leads. Arin jumped at the chance and agreed (on behalf of the Grumps) to do the show. Dan didn't get a say on the matter and was essentially dragged into the project because Arin couldn't be arsed to care what Dan thought on the matter.

So I've been biding my time for this next info dump, testing the waters to see what's been happening, lurking around, seeing what's been happening on the Lovely front, and seeing if anything would change or see if the Lovelies got more agitated as time went on. Especially during Ghoul Grumps.

And things definitely happened. Boy did they ever happen. So, if you Kiwis'll be so kind, I had to divide the events into sections. Because there's quite a bit that's been missed. So pick your poison, there's plenty of it to go around.

Game Grumps
- So Ghoul Grumps ain't exactly doin' so hot this year. In fact, the entire channel's been hurting on views as of late, with all of their videos struggling to reach 200,000 views, far below the threshold from Dan's "I'm sorry the truth has upset you" conversation. Which we all knew was bullshit anyways, but I digress. Starting with Blair Witch, the series started off pretty well at around 600,000 views after like a week and people were excited this was being played. However, because Arin has been struggling to do the simple task of looking at a dog, or anywhere but the direction of left, he has gotten absolutely nowhere in the game and the latest video for the two days it was up just barely passed the 100,000 mark because even the diehard Lovelies just got fed up with him not knowing what the foreign directions known as "right" or "down" are.

This then got replaced with Man of Medan which somehow did even worse, with Arin not at all knowing what the words "left" mean now, as he struggles and flails through the game, bitching and moaning the entire time. Even now, with over a day having passed as of the time of writing this, the latest episode is still struggling at around 87,000 views. This video is officially doing worse than their last ever Suzy-featured episode did. And that was Suzy, the person who was like the plague to viewcounts when she was still active (save for Table Flip).

So be prepared for them to cancel Ghoul Grumps for next year, and for that teary-sobby-woe-as-me video to continue to age like spoiled milk.

- Outside of Ghoul Grumps, something I can't believe wasn't discussed here yet (or at least, I couldn't find it after searching the thread if it was) was that they uploaded their newest Best Of video. For August. In October.
But who cares right? They're a little late, maybe they took the time to polish it out an-

...Okay that's a bit weird, but hey it's not that big a deal right? Like these are mostly put on as background noise anyways, so wh-

...Well I guess that explains Allie's aggressiveness on social media that day. I mean, never mind the fact that she and others now have a direct line to commenting on videos; who's the poor sap that's getting hurt for this today. Rebug, was it? Well it was nice knowing you, but at least it'll probably result in better editing, right? ...Right? ...right?
Well, as it turns out, this one slip-up was actually caused by Drej, not Rebug.

And not only is he now in control of editing for Rebug after this mishap, but uh...
Screen Shot 2019-10-30 at 4.38.08 PM.png

He's also been going uncredited for months as the main editor, and they've actually been promoting Rebug, the one who's been making all of the other fuckups (sans this video) instead of the guy who's actually been doing most of the work. All of this, because of one screw-up in editing on a single Best Of video, videos that these compilation makers volunteered for, and had to retitle/delete their own compilations to be a part of. So say goodbye to all Jon compilations pretty soon (Lionhead already deleted his) as well, it was knowing them too.

- Lastly, Game Grumps also hasn't actually streamed anything in months, suspiciously right after both the "hydration" and bitching about donation things happened live. People have said it's due to touring as well as other outside ventures but that's really stopped them before. But either way: time to burn that fucker off the Schedule Update list. Meaning we're now down to 1, count 'em, 1 Game Grumps video a day, save for a single day on weekends, with no alternate revenue stream through streams because Arin wasn't getting enough money and doesn't wanna do it. That is astoundingly pathetic.
Fandom
Sadly, nothing's really happened to set the community ablaze again but it never hurts to cover any new content from them.
- We got us another two parter TIHYDP of Twilight Princess by another member of RantGrumps.
- Someone made a documetary/timeline of events of RantGrumps and all the controversies they've covered.
- I don't know what the fuck happened, but apparently there was some massive comment deletion and mod abuse from TheValkuma on RantGrumps over "antagonization" and him not following his own rules to the point of deleting other people's unrelated comments? With some dude commenting 100s of times in that one thread, causing people to eat each other alive...or something to that effect.
If anyone wants to see what the deleted comments were or has an archive of the threads and wants to go through this, be my guest, but I don't really have the time to go through every single one of these comments to see just how much sperging is happening on Rant currently.

This is the only post you’ve made that doesn’t have egregious typos.

This seems like something a kid would write.

And Jeheezuz, that editor drama. Arin really knows how to treat his employees. I think he's hydrating so much because he realizes what an evil fuck he's become and wants to dull the pain.

dont really care all that much about typos if I wanted to write a college level post I would spend more time just thinking of the correct way to spell and sentence structure which if you choice to worry so much about it to make a comment well good for you? personally I dont care.

and this sounds like a circular logic your a kid cause you sound vaguely like a kid. by that logic you are a because im willing to bet at one time in your adult life you did something that many would consider childlike so....

Yeah forget all that shit about “decency” and “readability” and “not having your message look like it’s the result of a blobfish flailing around on a keyboard”

That's so weird because Arin and Dan aren't even really relevant in the show it's more about this super competitive black girl, an edgy smelly kid who says all the witty dialogue (despite it just being him calling people slurs), and Arin and Dan's gay landlord.

Might as well do the last episode. The gay landlord spent too much money on the team, and might be in the red financially. Terry Crews is in this episode. The Esports people go to the losers bracket then they have a montage of them getting out of the losers bracket. And they win! They make jokes at Korean's expense, then they go to a party.

Suzy's at the party dressed in some silly outfit. The party is basically a way for the team to hate one another or to get distracted by the promises of... relations. For example the super competitive girl and the gay landlord fight over the voice actor for one of the characters in the game. Arin's character is really whiny the entire time, which is pretty funny because I'm pretty sure this is what Arin would do at parties. The game journalist girl drinks a ton of alcohol because alcoholism is funny hahahaha just like in rick and morty lol? The Not Jonah Hill rival guy tries to hire Dan's character as a coach by calling him Weird Al Yankovic. The edgy kid gets out edgy'd by a girl who makes him get a tattoo. Arin and the game journalist have a kind of romantic scene? Arin's character finally meets Jesse Cox and Jesse Cox's character is triggered that people use his game to get money which I think is a commentary on game devs not liking the esports scene? I think? Everyone has a big fight.
It's the day of the finals and they make jokes about Arin's character pooping as he runs away from the competition. Anyway Arin wins the dota clone for his team, but they lose the finals.
The show ends with Ninja Brian murdering Jesse Cox and them hinting at a second season with their goal to win the tournament this time.

This was the show that they want to defend with "We did it first, we were the first esports sitcom!"? That's pathetic.

Ninja Brian and Suzy were in this show, too?

Pretty much confirms this show was made for Arin/The Grumps. Maybe they were hoping to break into acting, now that their channel is starting to bleed out.
