Sam Hyde (MDE) video referencing Jace.

BIG MDE fan here, as some may be able to tell by my username. I can't believe I've never seen this video before; I've seen nearly all of them. I'm not sure if it's meant to be a parody of Jace or just military nerds in general., but Sam Hyde definitely knows about him. He was the one who first introduced me to Jace through FB (along with an irl friend).

I remember Sam talking extensively about a variety of guns in a video. He was pretty knowledgable about them. I wonder where exactly he found out about Jace.

Could be DeviantArt? Jace said he was posting on DeviantArt regularly back before he started his Tumblr (before he got banned from DA, for reasons he still won't elaborate on but I'd guess posting furry porn) so that's my best guess - we don't have any other contenders for Jace's historical e-presence except Jace's Steam profile which dates back like 6 years from before /k/ found him, but I doubt Hyde would have caught wind of him from that.

AFAIK Jace still believes Hyde is "out to get him" and is sending MDE lackeys after him or something, the same response he's had to literally any other internet group that's ever laughed at him. I almost wish Hyde had pushed him further because a video feud between the two would be incredible, but Jace has a really, really short memory with his antagonists.

sam hyde said that he initially did the veteran character on his own accord and wasn't aware of jace at the time.

He uses the name ParkourDude91 in the Tactical Talk video. I don't know the timeline on the vids, so maybe that one came out after the /k/ stuff.
 
There's a little tiny sort of possible similarity in the MDE video "Officer Maggot" where the officer is talking to a man of middle eastern descent and officer maggot starts ranting like Jace

The original upload on MDE's channel was dated to November or December 2011, so that's about a year before the /k/ stuff.
 
Could someone explain how this sam hyde dude is? or the Million dollar whatever?

Sam hyde is mocking Jace in theses videos???

the real question is how did sam know about parkourdude91 back in december 2011. i'm not to familiar with what jace was doing back then. can anybody enlighten me?

Sam Hyde is a comedian who posted videos on youtube under the Million Dollar Extreme channel. He's famous for having trolled TedX Drexel University. His channel recently got taken down and he may be producing a pilot for Adult Swim right now.

We know by now Hyde follow lolcows, we know he follows Dan Quinn in particular since he makes references to Stevia etc. in his videos. This page (click "favs") is an archive of his YT favorites from before the channel got closed down. Control+f "Dan Quinn" and you'll find about 300 videos that Sam has favorited on YouTube, as well as shit from Corum Siegl and other lolcows. Not really surprising to me that Jace got a mention somewhere.

i know somebody close to sam who asked him for me

i still want to know how the hell sam knew about jace, since he was virtually invisible until sept 2012 when he set up his tumblr. i can't really wrap my head around how sam knows this guy especially since there really isn't anything notable about him at all up until /k/ caught wind of him.

jace has had his steam since 2006, and has left comments on people's profiles dating back to 2009 that are now deleted (the responses are the only things remaining). chances are jace had sam on his steam as a friend

The original is from 2013, when Jace was still baby-faced and chubby, but beginning to lose his hair.

Not saying it's him, but damn that does sound like him.

EDIT: Also, a few seconds before that, at about 4:28 is the same guy. The one who says "data pagan - cyber vegan." Looks less like Jace there but the same lisp.

i was gunna post this video today after i rewatched ideas man after the mde youtube channel was brought back. the similarities are uncanny; same sort of face, same sort of hair/hairline, and identical voices.
