Megan Murphy might be able to take Oger, but she shouldn't have to. But as we've seen time and again, it's always the troons who start with the physical violence. Civil rights activists who actually want to succeed recognise that, while tensions can boil over, the key to actually getting what they want is through keeping calm; you win over the people you need to win over by letting your opponents make the idiotic arguments and the violent threats and looking sane and reasonable in comparison.

Troons, however. First of all, they're not sane and reasonable. And arguably they don't actually want what other activists have fought for - equality and normality. For gay rights, you only have to accept other people will have same sex relationships, you can still disagree with the extremes of the culture. For troon rights, you have to accept that science isn't as important as people's feelings and that self-identification is all that's required to change gender (but to claim that you can change anything else the same way, such as race or species or age, is insulting).

They don't want to be accepted. They want to be regarded as special exceptions. And they inevitably have a strong reliance on the internet, where they get told time and again that as the most oppressed people on earth they should be angry and should get what they want now now now. So they don't care that violence is counter-productive, because everyone should be accepting their reality rather than having their own, fact-based existence.

And I wouldn't bet on Megan Murphy in a fight with Oger, because he's both a man on (troon) drugs and mentally ill. That's not a safe combo for conflict.

Oh, yeah - I didn't mean to imply that I hope he attacks her, he is still a dude and she is not. He just strikes me as the type of guy that will act tough and menacing as long as they're dealing with someone they believe is weaker, but crumbles the second they encounter serious opposition, like a man-sized fist. TBH, a lot of troons are like that for some of the reasons you outlined. Cowards, basically.

In an ideal world, I think he would try -and get his absolute shit kicked in by a nearby male bystander who simply sees what appears to be a smelly hobo accosting a woman, and the resulting fallout tanks his social and professional reputation so completely that he joins the 41%. I know that troondom is a bottomless pit of misogyny and insanity, and maybe I am being truly optimistic here, but would that not reeeeally be stretching the limits of most neutral peoples' tolerance of them?
