There has been no statement by either of them that could qualify as a flat explanation, unfortunately. He's all but admitted that he took her for granted and got nasty with her on many occasions. This was pretty much confirmed by how abusive he was to her once they separated, I think that's where his image began to decline and he completely lost control over his behaviour.

Dez wasn't much of a catch to average people - she was also fat at the time (though not morbidly obese), awkward, and Boogie was at peak "nice guy" reputation on YT, there was also fewer e-fame people back then so thots had to take what they could get. She appears to have improved herself in ways that Boogie has not. She definitely outgrew him, but appears scared of the NDA (probably because she got a good chunk of change in exchange for it).

The NDA is definitely real, and in Boogie's interests to deny. There's no photograph of contracts or anything, but so much circumstantial evidence around it, including things Boogie has alluded to, plus how much he has to hide with what we know about his personality now.
