A transgender girl accused of assaulting two students at a Texas high school alleges that she was being bullied and was merely fighting back

Shocking video shows a student identified by police as Travez Perry violently punching, kicking and stomping on a girl in the hallway of Tomball High School.

The female student was transported to the hospital along with a male student, whom Perry allegedly kicked in the face and knocked unconscious.

According to the police report, Perry - who goes by 'Millie' - told officers that the victim has been bullying her and had posted a photo of her on social media with a negative comment.

One Tomball High School parent whose daughter knows Perry said that the 18-year-old had been the target of a death threat.

'From what my daughter has said that the girl that was the bully had posted a picture of Millie saying people like this should die,' the mother, who asked not to be identified by name, told DailyMail.com.

When Perry appeared in court on assault charges, her attorney told a judge that the teen has been undergoing a difficult transition from male to female and that: 'There's more to this story than meets the eye.'

Perry is currently out on bond, according to authorities.

The video of the altercation sparked a widespread debate on social media as some claim Perry was justified in standing up to her alleged bullies and others condemn her use of violence.

The mother who spoke with DailyMail.com has been one of Millie's most ardent defenders on Facebook.

'I do not condone violence at all. But situations like this show that people now a days, not just kids, think they can post what they want. Or say what they want without thinking of who they are hurting,' she said.

'Nobody knows what Millie has gone through, and this could have just been a final straw for her. That is all speculation of course because I don't personally know her or her family, but as a parent and someone who is part of the LGBTQ community this girl needs help and support, not grown men online talking about her private parts and shaming and mocking her.'

One Facebook commenter summed up the views of many, writing: 'This was brutal, and severe! I was bullied for years and never attacked anyone!'

Multiple commenters rejected the gender transition defense and classified the attack as a male senselessly beating a female.

One woman wrote on Facebook: 'This person will get off because they're transitioning. This is an animal. She kicked, and stomped, and beat...not okay. Bullying is not acceptable, but kicking someone in the head. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.'

Human rights ruling says Manitoba must offer gender-neutral birth certificates

WINNIPEG — The Manitoba government has been ordered to start offering non-binary sex designations on its birth certificates.

A human rights adjudicator has also ordered the province to pay $50,000 to a transgender individual who wanted the sex designation on their birth certificate replaced with an “X” and was denied.

The complainant, who is identified as T.A. because of a publication ban, filed a complaint with the Manitoba Human Rights Commission after the request was turned down in 2014.

Manitoba’s Vital Statistics Agency said all birth certificates have two options — male or female — under provincial law and no other option is allowed.

The independent adjudicator who heard the case ruled that the government’s position is discriminatory and there is nothing under the law that would prevent a third designation from being offered.

Adjudicator Dan Manning also said the seriousness of the province’s actions toward the complainant was on “the high end.”

“Gender identity is a part of our concept of selfhood. The (vital statistics) director’s practice to not allow non-binary designations of sex designation and only permit male or female designations was effectively the government refusing to acknowledge T.A.’s agency and personhood,” Manning wrote in his ruling released Tuesday.

“The difficulties faced by trans and non-binary individuals in our society are many. Human rights tribunals have long recognized the disadvantages faced by trans people and non-binary individuals in society.”

Manning gave the province 180 days to start offering non-binary sex designations on birth certificates and 60 days to pay T.A. compensation.

He rejected a request for a further $25,000 in exemplary damages, saying he found no evidence of malice or recklessness in the government’s behaviour.

A one-sentence written statement from the office of Finance Minister Scott Fielding, who is responsible for the Vital Statistics Agency, said the government received the decision and “will now carefully review it to determine next steps.”

The complainant’s lawyer said T.A. is happy with the ruling.

“It is an important step forward for the trans community both in Manitoba and across Canada … so T.A. is feeling very pleased with the result,” Susan Ursel said.

Damnit Canada wasting time and money because society hurt some weirdo's feelings. Bill C16 need to be repealed

Anyone else think prison troon is just transing out in hopes of being put in a women's prison where he can rape again? Just me?

Of course. Are you transphobic?

The whole Safety thing is really starting to get to me...
Trans people are 1/3rd as likely to be victimized as non-trans people of the same circumstances.

Sorry about your mental problems, but that's on you homeboy. We're not going to cover the world in rubber because you don't wanna wear your shoes, God dammit.

Wait, are they saying that it is possible someone who claims to be trans/non-binary/whatever might not be telling the truth? I'm pretty sure that TERFs have been making this point for a long time.

Lol yes and for four years! But apparently pretending to pretend to be a different gender is not okay. Pretending to be another gender though, that's a protected human right.

Weirdo CIA agent thinks they can become a female

I relish the idea that I'm ISIS's nightmare: trans, gay, Jewish, CIA, and worst of all, female.

So, he's a straight man who identifies now as being a female lesbian woman. Nothing you ever do could make you female, buddy.

Everything in this article confirms that MTFs are delusional, sexist, and indulging in a strange fetish and forcing everyone to participate.

The trans-community has a joke: “What's the difference between a crossdresser and someone who changes genders? Two years.” The punchline ignores the trans-people who never transition or find happiness outside the gender binary. But for me, my hours as Jenny lifted a terrible sadness in my life.

Getting turned on by women's dresses confirms you're the opposite sex!

Chocolate is amazing on estrogen.

Being a woman is a series of sexist TV stereotypes.

And the whole focus on how sad it is that veterans and federal employees can't indulge in their desires to wear lipstick and not like all the dead people and destroyed governments by virtue of the CIA and American military.

Is it just me or does it sounds like they are trying to create/maintain an industry?

Many reputable professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Endocrine Society, which represent tens of thousands of professionals across the United States, recognize natural variations in gender identity and expression and have published clinical guidance that promotes nondiscriminatory, supportive interventions for gender diverse youth based on the current evidence base. These interventions may include, and are not limited to, social gender transition, hormone blocking agents, hormone treatment, and affirmative psychotherapeutic modalities.

To go back to the little girl in Ottowa for a moment, maybe I'm getting way too :optimistic: about this but the fact that the law group representing her is the JCCF, and they're going in front of another HRT, is really making me do a deep thunk. This is the same conservative law group that defended the waxing women from Yaniv, and defended the dude that Ogre sued, in the same kind of Rights Tribunal, except this time they're the "prosecution" and they're going after a pedo queer theory advocacy group. I know the ladies at r/gendercrit are more into big brain feminist navel gazing and collective hand-wringing, but if even one of those thousands of women happened to live in Canada, had a kid, and saw her little kid in distress after a Clown World lecture in school, she might have seen that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to try and dunk on troons. Maybe I'm giving the mom in this scenario too much credit, but I'm getting a conspiracy theory feeling that this is a deep cover TERF gay op. Or maybe the JCCF wants to see if they can score a win in the same """court""" troons have tried to use against people. Worried moms with vulnerable kids get way more attention that autists having fake court slapfights, and this kind of weird gender situation gives normies an opportunity to air any non-woke ideas about pronoun/gender nonsense.
This also happening United States I think twice. Two little kids in kindergarten or first grade we're exposed to this and came home terrified that they could change sex, One kid freaked out and thought that by getting their haircut shorter she would become a boy. She needed therapy, changed schools. Not sure what happened legally.

14-yo girl charged with tying up a naked old man and murdering him. Seen several stories about this the past few days...finally clicked through.

The “girl” in question:

Troons taking away old-white-trick-murdering opportunities from young girls. What will happen to the next Cyntoia Brown?

Mia could have been a pretty cute dude. I like his eyebrows better than most troons. And that's a sweater an actual woman might wear. Full points!

But yeah he's definitely hiding some crazy aggression behind that statement. Normal people with a normal relationship to anger and aggression don't feel like they're totally put upon by social requirements not to punch walls or pressure women for sex.

There is some preliminary evidence that transgender surgeries are associated with reduced utilization of mental health resources. Forgive the clumsy phraseology; I don't want to imply anything beyond what I read from the paper. Troon media, however, are not as cautious as I am.

APA Study: YOU could end trans suicide within MY lifetime
Added by Kelli Busey on November 9, 2019.
The first-ever long-term study shows that gender-affirming surgery has immediate positive effects on transgender people’s mental health. The findings if integrated into public and healthcare policy could lower the suicide rate for millions of Americans by as much as 8% yearly.

In three years we could curtail trans suicides by as much as 25%. In six years we could cut trans suicides by one half.

Previously, similar studies of transgender healthcare were the summation of third-party reviews that contained many unknown or uncontrolled variables. Many of the studies didn’t have control groups, were from a variety of countries and time periods yielding mixed results or evidence to the contrary.

Suicide is decimating GNC adolescent populations and adults. Left unchecked it will result in hundreds more deaths yearly which are mainly unheralded due to familia censorship, law enforcement and media transphobia.

Of the 6,456 respondents to the 2011 National Center for Transgender Equality survey as analyzed by the Williams Institue:
  • 50% of fully out trans people said that they have attempted suicide.
  • Sixty percent (60%) of respondents whose doctor or healthcare provider refused to treat them, had attempted suicide.
According to the Yale School of Public Healthstudy published on October 03, 2019 suicide and instances of self-harm as indicated by those seeking mental health care were reduced by 8% yearly when surgery became an option beforehand.

Published in the American Journal of Psychiatry, the study reviewed 10 years of medical data for the entire population of Sweden and is believed to be the first analysis of the long-term effect of hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgery on transgender individuals’ mental health based on a country’s population.

Researchers Richard Branstrom, Ph.D., and John E. Pachankis, Ph.D., with the Yale School of Public Health, New Haven, Connecticut, used the Swedish Total Population Register to identify more than 2.500 individuals who received a diagnosis of gender incongruence (i.e., transsexualism or gender identity disorder) between 2005 and 2015. Among individuals with gender incongruence, just more than 70% had received hormone treatment and nearly half (48%) had undergone gender-affirming surgical treatment during the 10-year follow-up period. Nearly all (97%) of those who had undergone surgery also received hormone treatment. Less than one-third had received neither treatment.

They analyzed mental health treatment in 2015 in relation to the length of time since gender-affirming hormone and surgical treatment, including distinguishing the potentially interrelated effects of the two treatments. The mental health measures included health care visits for mood and anxiety disorder, antidepressant and anti-anxiety prescriptions, and hospitalization after a suicide attempt.

Increased time since last gender-affirming surgery was associated with reduced likelihood of use of mental health treatment. The study found the odds of receiving mental health treatment were reduced by 8% for every year since receiving gender-affirming surgery over the 10-year follow-up period. They did not find the same association for hormone treatment.

The study also found that compared with the general population, transgender individuals with a gender incongruence were:

  • about six times as likely to have had a mood or anxiety disorder health care visit;
  • more than three times as likely to have received prescriptions for antidepressants and anti-anxiety medication; and
more than six times as likely to have been hospitalized after a suicide attempt.
The authors conclude that “In this first total population study of transgender individuals with a gender incongruence diagnosis, the longitudinal association between gender-affirming surgery and reduced likelihood of mental health treatment lends support to the decision to provide gender-affirming surgeries to transgender individuals who seek them.”

The press release by The American Psychiatric Association is similarly sanguine. But if you track down the original paper (enclosed as pdf), you enthusiasm will be curbed. The main flaw of the study is that it is a multi-timepoint study. The researcher tracked down (from Sweden's population registry) troons who had the chops less than 1 years ago, between 1 and 2 years, between 2 and 3 years, and so on; and compare each group's utilization of mental-health resources (treatment for mood or anxiety disorder, and hospitalization for suicide attempts). This kind of study does not account for survivor bias -- troons who have already offed themselves prior to the study will not show up in the population registry and there is no way for the researchers to account for them. The chops is a highly traumatic procedure, and troons who are more mentally ill will be expected to off themselves very early on, say within 2 years. Thus who survived the chops for, say 5 years, are as a group more mentally sound than the recently butchered. The "8% per year reduction of odds of receiving mental health treatment" can well be accounted for by Survivor Bias.

In the Discussion section, the researchers pussyfoot a lot about their study's limitation, talking a bunch about things that are hardly relevant, yet left out the elephant in the room: they really need to do a Cohort Study.
