Male General (archive) is a 4chan-esque imageboard which exists so gays can revenge-porn each other. Posters request leaks of guys' nudes, as well as every detail about their sex lives. This, of course, leads to frequent catfights and severe TMI. And let's not get started on the near-omnipresent race wars on the site.
For the purposes of this thread, I'm going to focus on the General/Dongs board (archive); that's where the drama is concentrated because no one cares about the ugly camwhore boards.
Who Runs the Site?
The site is part of a group of sites called the LurkMore group (archive). The sites are all porn-centric imageboards dedicated to various sexual interests. Male General is seen as the most controversial due to the media coverage it's gotten. It was founded in 2008 and has been gaining in popularity ever since.

Who posts on Male General?
Most everyone on the site seems to like the same type of guys - lean, muscular men often referred to as "Instagays" due to their propensity for Instagram whoring. Instagays tend to hang out with others who look like them in insular, widely-resented cliques, so the drama that spills onto Male General is being spread by them about their frenemies (powerlevel for context: I'm in those circles, my friends showed me the site.) Their idiotic theatrics are appreciated by a chorus of perverts that make up the bulk of the site's userbase.
TAKE THAT OFF THE GODDAMN INTERNET
People are able to request removal of uploaded content, but it's a hassle and removal is not guaranteed. Per the Hornet article, "though there is a procedure for removal requests, Male General mocks them. To make a removal request, one must take a photo of themselves holding up a card with their personal information on it. Should you do it “incorrectly,” they’ll post that photo too. If one goes direct to their ISP, Male General will mock you by posting your request — and in some cases, the photos you tried to remove — to a wiki where they refer to users as 'turds' and 'retards.'" The Do Not Post List
People can request to be added to the site's Do Not Post (DNP) list (archive) if they get posted frequently. These people are normally Instagays with more baggage than an airport. Posts of anyone on the DNP list get removed on sight by Male General's moderators. Every post on the site is moderated, though the mods seem to take a fairly anything-goes attitude.

Racial Stupidity
The gay community is heavily stratified in terms of attractiveness, and ethnicity often plays a role in one's sexual prospects. This has led to resentment against white men, and many people of color on Male General say white Instagays date look-alikes of each other ("doppelbangers") and are racist for not fucking non-whites. This causes white gays to fire back, resulting in some truly childish and pathetic internet slapfights.
All the site's content is archived and there's years of cataloged debauchery. Dozens of threads are posted daily and there's always new gossip and drama, especially during the summer months when gays congregate (read: have orgies) in Fire Island and Mykonos.
