So thousands of Disney+ accounts may have been hacked.
If that's the case, this seems to be the third blunder involving Disney+ so far this week.
If we have anyone who speaks moon runes and knows where the Japanese trash talk the Disney Trilogy, feedback come that day will be welcome.
In other news, traffic for SW is picking up on Google Trends, but not by much. At the current rate, it won't hit TLJ levels.
I wish I could help with the Japanese shit, but in terms of foreign SW activity, I'm only familiar with what the Russian, Chinese and Hindu fans are up to, and also a little of Georgia, Brazil, Chile and Turkish activity. The Japanese part of the SW fandom is something I haven't kept regular track of since 2015 or 2016 outside of occasional peeks mostly due to indifference, but at that time of 2014 the SW communities over there were overwhelmed with TFA shilling and that's all anyone wanted to discuss. I haven't bothered to check up on it regularly since due to that and that Japan (and Asia in general) really hasn't been significant for the global box office of the Disney Wars movies, with Japan never giving anything over 80mil for the films (although whether that's due to population decline or some other factor is anyone's guess). In terms of relevance based on the last glimpse I took a year or so ago, the Disney Wars movies aren't as talked about as the prequels were over there, nor have they really inspired anything, unlike Podracing from the prequels which proved popular over there and resulted in inspiring certain mangas and games, like FFX which drew more than a few inspirations from SW.
However, Sequel and DisneyEU shit seems to be popular with female Japanese fans on mainstream social sites rather than males though (at least back around 2016). A lot of female fans are also into the Lost Stars SW webcomic by Disney which is a less shitty adaptation of a Disney novel from 2015 aimed at Twilight fangirls that's about a super stronk and
amazing POC imperial girl who falls in love with a
clinically depressed white boi who deserted the Empire in a forbidden romance where they hate/love each other which was adapted into a manga format. FYI they both end up miserable. I'd hate to admit it, but the manga adaptation was alright compared to the shitty book which was pure Twilight-tier wank minus love triangles and interspeciesm (although if you painted the white boi's hair black, he'd look just like the vampire guy), but it was mostly uneventful considering the end result and that the whole novel and manga just conclude as another advertisement for TFA like most 2015 content.
I can try and look up Japanese reactions to IX, but part of me suspects it'll be just as divided as anywhere else.
