Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Kingdom Hearts 3
Hold the phone..Kingdom hearts 3 was..3 hours of greatness. Now...sixty dollars was a bit much for that 3 hours..as was making you play 10 hours of mediocre Disney stuff to get there, but..you don't go to Taco Bell and complain when you are shitting 3 hours later, anyone who bought that shit knew what they were getting into.

Edit : You know what fuck it, 60 dollars was totally worth seeing Donald duck become The single most powerful mage in all of Square Enix History and Out-flare Bahumut.

Fucking thank you for saying it. Its nothing but endless cocksucking whenever anyone brings up that shit and how subversive its godawful ending was. The game was beyond exceptional from start to finish yet people will defend it to death for their shitty waifu nonsense.

I have never seen anyone unironically attempt to defend FFXIII and its sequels as anything other than a giant waste of everyone's time and actually make an argument that doesn't make them look like they've been huffing paint.

It's the only game I know of where I know more about the protagonist of it due to a spinoff title than the game she allegedly stars in.

You know, it has reached a point that I absolutely dont care about what happens in EP 9, in fact, I welcome it in being a disaster.
Millenium Falcon getting blown up, killing all the legacy characters at fucking once?
Im just like "Do it. I dare ya! I DOUBLE dare!" I WANT to see if they have the guts to do it and if they really go along with it, they suffer every single consequence there is.
If only I could come back years ago and warn people to stop mocking the prequels that badly and that it could be much...MUCH worse...

Pretty much. Still excellent work in putting that cheap map together. Also I did some further checking and it seems the planets on the map aren't restricted by their relation to lore in the park since Bothawui is there (the homeworld of Bothans) despite there being no mention of Bothans or Bothan-related things in the park (with Bothawui's only appearance being a brief cameo in Filoni Wars). So that does seem to be a map of the entire galaxy in Disney (minus the missing pieces).

I noticed Bothawui on there and was surprised, it seemed like the entire species had been exterminated. Maybe it's populated by Abednedos now.

I mean its possible the designers were just that lazy but all they could've done was just use the more complex map Fantasy Flight Games exclusively made for Disney back in 2016, which funnily enough hasn't been used or referenced in anything relating to Disney despite being made as a tie-in to TFA, but then again, said map was pretty much a slightly simpler version of the old pre-Disney map with Jakku, Starkiller, Lothal (the planet from Aladdin's Rebels) and a few other Disney planets thrown in, so it might as well not be part of Disney either considering how no Disney media has ever used it and it has too much pre-Disney for their liking.

For comparison, here is the map FFG made for Disney in 2016, which is a poorly colored version of the old map with a few Disney planets thrown in. So yeah, its a copy/paste, but at least they tried to put more effort into this than Kennedy's story group did.

Essentially, all Galaxy's Edge would have to do was just copy/paste this or just sell this map as some kind of souvenir.

I actually like the look of that one. Here's a higher-resolution version I found. (On Russian Wookieepedia.)

For further comparison, here is a the old pre-Disney map (not complete either but its close enough and its more populated).

This one is closer to Disney's map in layout due to the outline of Hutt Space and direction of the map. Except its more populated (obviously), minus the blacked out region which is the Unknown Regions which is (obviously) unknown and mostly uncharted.

Having the entire EU to mine for location names does make it look like more of a galaxy-sized setting and not, well, pathetic. The galaxy's edge version doesn't even seem to have an unknown region, it looks just as charted as anything else on the map. (The real unknown region would be the missing puzzle pieces I guess.)

Disney's map has also renamed certain regions, like the Core Worlds now being called The Interior and (if I'm reading this right) they replaced Rishi with Scarif from Rogue One which was destroyed (not blown to pieces but made uninhabitable) by the end of Rogue One, which means that (if this is correct) they gave Rishi the Ilum/Starkiller treatment, which just raises further questions as to why that is or if Scarif and Rishi are just neighbors, but then again both planets are tropical... Its really baffling.

It's not the same planet, just nearby:
Besides it doesn't look like Scarif has any big mountains like Rishi is supposed to have. (Also look closely at how they added new Disney labels to the old map, lol)

But regardless of what this entails, its clear Disney's map is made up of more dead worlds than I thought which makes it even more barren.

You haven't seen anything yet, Plan IX will have Super Death Star Killer Destroyers exploding everything that's left in the galaxy.

Part of me suspects that the map Galaxy's Edge published is the "true" map used by Kennedy's story group since its small and easy to remember for them considering that they have zero experience in scifi/fantasy and even less experience in writing outside of soap operas that Kennedy liked.

I doubt Kennedy's story group uses or cares about maps tbh.

Alien Covenant (...how could I forget that gem)

To be fair, Alien: Covenant would have been a great movie if not for the Alien part that they clearly just shoved in there to capitalize on franchise recognition. The first two-thirds are classic, tense, psychological horror. The last third is schlocky, syfy channel original nonsense. Its a shame we didn't get the original version, which would have had Naomi Rapeface fighting the Engineers, but c'est la vie.

I can't even find Starkiller Base, Jedha or Jakku on this map, although I see Takodana. The funny thing is, the Wook considers this map canon, at least as far as Seoul, Mephout and Skye are concerned (they all originated in the EU). They all have Wook pages sourcing back to this image. Which is insane, because that would mean that Zonama Sekot is canon and so is the Imperial Remnant (the actual Imperial Remnant, on Bastian and in the Pentastar's previous territory). But the Wook apparently doesn't consider those parts of the map canon, and the one you posted is different from the one Oaat posted; it has the Remnant removed. So, was there as statement declaring some parts of the map or even all of it non-canon or what? It still has Zonama Sekot and Bastion (which is a very important Remnant codename), which would indicate that those are canon, but the Wook only lists Bastion as canon and not Zonama Sekot.

Yes...but also a bit no too and that's the scary part. Sure we've definitely had our unfortunate share of "woke" infested bullcrap that spawned the likes of Terminator : Dark Fate, TFA, TLJ, Doom : Annihilation (yes that was a thing folks), Batwoman, and so forth but we've also had things like GoT crash and burn (and yes I know there was an element of woke crap in that too besides say Arya killing the Night King though I'm almost convinced that was thrown in there less for the "woke" points and more simply to be unexpected), The Hobbit movies, Attack on Titan (from what I've been hearing), the Legend of Korra (again some "wokeness" in that too but not enough to utterly derail the show), and a few other examples I might list later. Point being, writing/story-telling in this decade has really gone down the drain along with creativity with or without the help of SJWs.

Edit : Add to the second category of works of fiction that flopped or were very disappointing in the story department

Final Fantasy 13 : Lightning Returns (yeah...I went there)
Final Fantasy 15
Halo 5
Kingdom Hearts 3
Mass Effect 3
MGSV
Resident Evil 6
The Predator

Edit 2 : Add the following to the first category

Alien Covenant (...how could I forget that gem)
Dr. Who (from what I've heard)
Ghostbusters 2016
Star Trek Discovery
Star Trek : Into Darkness (thanks JJ...)
Meanwhile though, there's several properties that managed to improve and not crash overtime with woke politics.
  • Mission: Impossible had a slight retooling starting with the third one after the third by making it more of the television series. Each installment starting with the forth one has been better than the last one both financially and commercially (especially the last one with Henry Cavil). That retooling has made Tom Cruise (who doesn't give a shit about politics) still relevant and the only consist franchise for Paramount to not burn.
  • John Wick, a newer IP, revitalized Keanu Reeves career with its simple, but excellent plot lines and stellar action scenes, and now people want more of these movies.
  • With Joker, when I first heard that it would be a stand-alone movie that had a sympathetic look at the Joker played Joaquin Phoenix and directed by Todd Phillips, I was surprised. However, I was blown away on how it never panders to SJW political correctness and makes it feel real. I love that movie so much.
  • Christopher Nolan, I argue, is the filmmaker of the decade. Inception is my favorite movie of the 2010s (I'm happy to see many sites have this film as one of the best of the decade) because of how emotionally and originally connecting the story was and its said that Hollywood never learns from him. The Dark Knight Rises, while not as legendary as the first two, manages to have a nice wrap up on The Dark Knight Trilogy. Interstellar and Dunkirk I thought were nice bold moves that saw him mature in his career. I can't wait for Tenet next year.
I wax nostalgic about the early part of this decade now, but the truth is I kind of hated it at the time, the trouble back then was just how purely idiotic things were getting, remember Jersey Shore? Remember Here Comes Honey Boo Boo? In a way the tail end of the 2000s and early part of the 2010s was actually the bottom of the barrel for pure idiocy in American culture, I hated reality TV so fucking much and I'm thankful that at the very least nobody gives as much of a shit about it now as they used to.
Speaking of 2010-2013, what was that shitty EDM music that farted out The Black Eyed Peas's I Gotta Feeling, Lady Gaga, LMFAO, Calvin Harris, Rhianna's We Found Love, and PSY? That can go straight to fucking hell.

@RomanesEuntDomus are you willing to bite the bullet for us by buying a ticket to Cats then sneaking into IX?
View attachment 1019440
To be honest, I can't really promise anything, but I am not entirely against biting the bullet and sneaking into the movie. I am, in a weird way, actually hyped to see the movie. I mean, the movie is going to be full on crap, but I am dying to find out how close the leaks will be to the final product. I am still sort of in denial that these leaks are legit, cause they are so utterly atrocious, I can't even fathom how someone would make such a pile of shit and think people would enjoy it.

Apparently, when Collin Trevorrow was working on Episode IX, his script didn’t have the Emperor.

I'd imagine that this would be the case because he probably never figured Snoke would have been killed off in the previous movie.

Oh ffs...no!

Rey wasn't even born then, or are they trying to tell us Yoda could see that far into the future? And if he could see that far into the future, why couldn't he see that Palpatine was a Sith Lord then? Go away Disney.

I did not finish FF13 but it made an impression and there are definitely redeeming qualities. I’d classify it as one of those games that could have been truly great if a few small but very impactful things were changed about it.

Things I liked:

1) The combat system had a sense of energy and engagement.
2) The art direction had an utterly distinct visual identity.
3) The linear nature of the gameplay and story reinforced the themes of the game, even if they were poorly executed at times.
4) I really did like the concept of taking the traditional setup of a group of heroes working together to save the world and turning it into a group of disfunctional selfish assholes being compelled by magical force to do shit they don’t care about.
5) The soundtrack, I mean damn. It’s great, and the piano taking center stage is a welcome break from generic full orchestra.

Where it failed:

1) Character writing
2) Believable dialogue
3) Illusion of depth in both gameplay and story
4) I get that it wanted to put me in the characters shoes by making things feel restrictive, but they didn’t strike the balance by also making me invested and entertained enough to keep playing.

If you gave the setting, assets, music, basic story and character concepts to a competent director, it could have been a fantastic experience.

They will never stop raping this corpse. Ever.

I barely managed to get through that video. Geeky has a volume control problem and is annoying af.

Anyways, per that article in the video they claim it was "One Fan's theory."
I have a theory that fan is either trolling or needs to switch pot dealers. That stuff is laced with something harmful.

Everyone knows Yoda is referring to Leia. Let's hope everyone includes the Monsters making this movie.
