There was a TCPA hearing which is like a mini trial (hearing really) to quickly decide if freedom of speech is being violated by Vic Suing. Vic lost and they are currently about to get a decision from the judge on how much Vic owes in fees and sanctions.
Nick Rekieta and Vic's council believe they have grounds for appeal. This appeal was going to happen for a bunch of reasons no matter whoever won and we were really never going to know until the TCPA appeal happened. But the KV side has been doing a victory dance ever since the TCPA started to go their way.
Depending on the appeal outcome, they will be a trajectory for the real trial.
And Vic's pants are fabulous.

@Commander I don't think it's weird nowadays that a Texas convention hosts both major sports figures and actors, be it the first Jason Vorhees or people who voice anime. Along with Texas pride and community spirit, nowadays, there's plenty of adult sports fans who are anime fans into adulthood, and yeah, they exist. It's better than the shitshow that was, what I've heard, the X-Games, when Anime Expo was ran next door, back in the 1990s, and in California too. So that's a plus for Texas.

There are plenty of people on their side who are misguided and are running on sensational emotions, but so are there plenty adamant and stubborn to their twisted ideals. If they foolishly decide to stick blindly with their "ideals", let them do so at their own peril.

Today someone passed along that the reason John has been silent on YouTube and Twitter has to do with a possible investigation into him for some things that may have happened over the past few years.
