Nah, I guarantee those kids will grow up subconsciously knowing that they were never important, never anybody's priority. And when they're in middle or high school and the resilience of youth starts to wear off, she'll wonder why they suddenly can't pass classes and are sad or angry all the time.
I mean, many people don't celebrate the birth of our lord and savior because they're heathens. Whatever. But to deny them the experience of communal, secular gratitude is fucking barbaric and selfish at many orders of magnitude. "Sorry kids, no turkey and pie for you. That comment on her post. I have land o lakes butter in my fridge right now and I refuse to apologize for that. Well, since being not-fat means you are fatphobic (using FA/HAES logic), that "how to survive..." manual is pretty fucked up. How do your friends and family feel about you owning this book? Also, we don't choose our family, but why are you friends with "fatphobic" people anyway? Do you need manuals to survive all the other holidays? That attitude reeks of delusional smugness. As I said before, being friends with a FA is a recipe for disaster. Everything is always about how they would feel, without taking your feelings into consideration. Also, very few people could possibly put up with someone that is so fragile that they need a survival guide to get through an event. I’ve seen little kids with thicker skin than Jay and Corissa.
I would go as far as saying that those two were probably thicker skinned and tougher all around as kids. But I could be assuming they are older than they really are now that I think about it.
