You see, this would've been a different story if one person, just ONE person showed anything, (that wasn't obviously fabricated) a text, an email, a photo, a video, an old voicemail from a cassette recorder in the 90's, ANYTHING concrete that supported their claims. There would be no ISWV if they just brought forth some evidence with their stories instead of "My best friend's cousin's stepmother's daughter said Vic did _____"

I want to agree, but I've seen worse and MB/most pseudo intellectual anime fans being tards will make me fight for the questionably written power fantasy. If the people with "standards" didn't devolve into spergs, I'd probably ignore SAO as a whole

It's ironic the lawyer who did the best job charged the least. The other lawyers vastly overcharged their clients and have left them on the hook for six digits of bills even after their Pyrrhic and possibly temporary victory.

It's posturing.

From what I understand:
-They filed a notice of appeal, not the formal appeal.
-Chupp explicitly stated that they should have the opportunity to appeal as it stands.
-There isn't a too early. You can be late but they aren't late.
-Most of the people claiming it's wrong have no clue about Texas law anyway.

Wait, they're still harping that the appeal was filed too early? We went over this multiple times, the court will find early appeals as timely as soon as the right window starts. Even if they didn't, HE COULD ALWAYS JUST REFILE THE SAME SHIT AS SOON AS THE WINDOW STARTS.

This motherfuckers need to pick up a book and read.

It's almost as if strip mall door lawyers have an incentive to do their work as quickly, efficiently, and cheaply as possible.

Based on what he said at one of the hearings (either November 8 or 21), Lemonparty's entire strategy was to drag out the fees and sanctions in an attempt to make an appeal of the dismissal impossible. I believe the quote was something like "that's not true, they can still appeal the fees and sanctions."
Chupp, to his credit, wants to preserve Vic's right to appeal.
It doesn't surprise me that KV/Lawltwitter spergs are on the same page as the Mosquito Fuhrer.

The real irony is that the least likable of the defendants (which is saying quite a bit) has the most genuinely likable and reasonable attorney. Say what you will about Marchi, she either made a smart choice in representation or lucked the fuck out.
