During the Toy Bounty Hunters stream someone asked for a screen shot of the convo I had back in 2013 with Faisal over whether or not Vic was banned. Just dropping it off here in case it was one of you who asked.

Why is he shitting on a small con managing to get some big names to come as guests? If I was a local to the area seeing a big name like Vic coming I would be ecstatic and make sure to support the local con. I don't know much about the location but looking it up it has a tiny population, I bet they don't get many big names their way in the first place, so it's even more exciting news for local fans. Maybe this guy has the privilege of living somewhere where big names showing up at cons is just common, but take it from someone who grew up in the middle of nowhere that this would be very exciting news because it doesn't happen often. This is the same mentality as urban yuppies shitting on people that live in rural areas for being country bumpkins that don't have access to all the "great things" of city life. These people have zero self-awareness of how awful they sound.

@EriMin getting involved in this has made this whole thing so much more fun to watch, it's like these peoples' stories are random Japanese roads and EriMin's the unpredictable sinkhole that appears and utterly fucking destroys their narrative.

You poser ass motherfuckers only like anime for the power fantasy and escapism, and nothing to inspire you. You motherfuckers shit on Japan for providing you anime, and you yell at us for being ethnocentric racists? Take a good look in the mirror sometime and take a good look at the enemy.

Okay, this is an excellent point. This is what separates anime fans from the posers, from those following "geek trends" because it's "cool" now when just a little over a decade ago, geeks were teased for being geeky and reading comic books and playing video games and watching anime/cartoons (honestly, you can be a fan of animation, but unless you were hired to work on something like Paw Patrol or any other preschooler show or you legit have kids of your own/have little siblings you babysit, watch something age-appropriate for the love of God).

You can tell the anime fans from the posers based on how much it's changed their life. Anime fans alike have teased 4KIDS and shounen shows for their friendship speeches and the like, but here's a surprise: there's actual merit to it. There are children who grew up watching Pokémon, Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon Ball, Naruto, et cetera who took to heart their messages of companionship and the theme of nakama, and directly applied it into their lives. They treat people kindly and are very loyal to their friends. In terms of their hobbies and aspired dreams, they have become artists of sorts, and wish to inspire the next generation. Yes, these same properties are still on-going, but that doesn't mean they're no less important just for being "old".

Weebs are going to be autistic weirdos and I don't think that's going to go away any time soon, but there's a difference between an autistic weirdo who's trying to open up to others while still carrying their inspirations/hobbies with them into adulthood, and the autistic posers trying to warp the community into their own image and screeching at those who don't fall in line. These are also the same posers who freak the fuck out over a foreign culture that doesn't accommodate with their beliefs, and that's apparently a huge deal-breaker they don't want to admit is a deal-breaker. You don't have to like societal norms in Japan, but luckily anime tends to be their own stand-alone stories that can be understood just fine without knowledge of Japanese life--that's how it's gotten so popular outside of Japan in spite of it. If you're truly interested in the Japanese culture and make the effort to study up on it, it still doesn't change the anime, but you're going to notice those little Easter eggs and that's fun. Which is the keyword here: anime is fun, and you're supposed to have fun with it.

The SJWs and anime thread in Deep Thoughts goes into much more detail and speculation as to how it is the anime community has gotten so infested, but it just further proves that hypocrisy and blind faith muddles ideologies and they fail far too quickly and harshly. SJW anime fans are a paradox, and you cannot have the "best" of both worlds no matter how hard you try. Manga and anime can be surprisingly progressive in nature, but SJWism has never been progressive, and Japanese culture is as far from SJWism as it can get (but still not too far into something like Sharia Law territory--actually, Muslim anime fans are quite fascinating when you think about it, but hilariously they're still not as paradoxical as SJW anime fans).

I think I lost my train of thought there, whoops. So uh... yeah, anime's supposed to be fun. Fuck you, posers, for poisoning the well and not making an attempt to get the appeal because you don't like what it represents.

Oh boohoo, cuck hubris and thicc lasagna are gonna make money while the fatties sit on their asses and cry about imaginary rape
Ah yes. Shitting on the little man and probably flyover country (not sure if it’s been stated where this con is). This is why the left is hated.

This is the stupidest burn imaginable. You can find a lot of small cons that only have 1-3 voice actor guests because with the expenses going up, that's all they can comfortably fit in budget. Has this idiot looked up "Sangawa Project"? That's going on next weekend and only has 2 guests: Monica & Jamie. That's it. Oh look at the trash fire that is a tiny convention that only nabs Jamie & Monica.

The more I read stuff like this, the more I’m convinced that these con owners are the reason for Vic’s “diva behavior”.

So a con that has the voices behind Edward Elric, Broly, Hiei and Android 17 as hosts is “garbage”. Good Lord, I hope this guy never gets hired to do convention work.

Just look at Manjawlo as an example, she may have gone to Japan and all but I don't think she's even willing to understand the culture. I know when I am there that I would do my best to be as polite and aware as possible, hell I wouldn't want to visit a country if I didn't at least have some basic understanding of their lingo.

But posers are fucking disgusting people because they are so arrogant that they think that whatever they like about anime has to confirm to them, BITCH FUCK YOU, YOU DON'T OWN THAT SHIT SO EAT A DICK AND FUCK OFF! Rage over, but the thing is they are the reason why people would want to gate keep the anime industry at all. This is the reason why I think the west has a major entitlement issue. I can understand wanting to be a part of something but jesus, them trying to control or change it to suit their malformed vision is why shit like High Guardian Spice being garbage and that any attempt to change western media is why they are complete garbage.

However as Anime is foreign media, they can't control it and as much as they screech about it on Twitter the only way they can influence it is if Marvel get's enough of a foothold in Japan and SJW's in Japan gain more influence. I don't see that happening soon. And if Japan wants to be smart, they would do what the Chinese are doing, make western companies comply with them and dewoke their characters but I suspects a tall order given how relations between the US and Japan is different compared to China.

It's just like when there was the fuss about an ad for blood collection in Japan using someone with big breasts as a means to get people to donate. She wasn't even in a suggestive pose or clothing, all she had were big breasts, yet people on twitter whined about how misogynistic it showed Japanese culture was. I remember the person who raised the biggest fuss wasn't even Japanese but just some american guy who was living there. I have no idea if any Japanese actually cared.

What an idiot. By getting two of the more popular names in dubs, this small con will see huge profits. It will be able to come back next year as a bigger con if they want. And Vic and Chuck will make plenty of money with no other VAs there.
They know how to do business. Having Vic and cuck around would uplift them for sure.

i will admit it is pretty funny only two guests at a con.

its almost like two people at a con can have bigger lines due to it being more secluded, man can you imagine the money coming in!

remember when vic went to that hotel alone and over 500 people came in due to the con down the road removing there invite of vic that convention lost over 25000 dollars

look at this its vic at kamehacon on his own floor by himself while all the other big VA'S are downstairs. dont mind vic racking in over 30000 dollars that day

and how much you bet we will finally see line pics from KV for Jaime/Mon touting how long their lines are and omitting the fact they are the only guest there period....

*Ahem*

SJWs: We got these VAs kicked out of big cons
VAs: I have empty timeslots I can fill
Small Cons: I am in need of notable people
VAs: We are notable people
Small Cons: Welcome to our con
SJWs: That's illegal
Small Cons: Who the fuck are you people? Want to come to our con?

They did not think this through. It is an awful process but slowly rebuilding your brand probably is going to have to happen with Vic, Chuck, and Todd because the Funhouse probably is going to permanently boot them.

I did a little research on Twitter and there are still a few voice actors who are still following Vic. Most interestingly is that some of them happen to be from Texas. Make of it what you may, but here are the voice actors who are currently following Vic:
  1. Aaron Dismuke
  2. Skyler McIntosh
  3. Veronica Taylor
  4. Chuck Huber
  5. Bryce Papenbrook
  6. Johnny Yong Bosch
  7. Mela Lee
  8. Caitlin Glass
  9. Kate Higgins
  10. Michelle Ruff
  11. Mike McFarland
  12. Sonny Strait
  13. Colleen Clinkenbeard
  14. Brian Drummond
  15. John Swasey
  16. Elise Baughman
  17. Kyle Hebert
  18. David Vincent
  19. Quinton Flynn
  20. Phil La Marr
  21. Tara Strong
  22. Chris Ayres
  23. Reuben Langdon
Hmmmm to check again
20190820_221954 (1).jpg

Aaron is a given. Brothers have to stick together

Colleen is weird. Though she barely uses her twitter

So is Michelle Ruff. She's been liking KV tweets

Phil and Tara are weird. Don't remember them working on any anime

Sonny is whatever

Edit: Jesus this guy
