The Slaton Sisters / Amy Slaton & Tammy Slaton - The 1000 Pound Sisters

The "dressed bananas" shit is clearly something TLC has made up to make them endearing. Give me a break! :cringe:
I guess they found this a little more tolerable than some of the insane shit Amy has cooked up in the past. Like when she mixed the jar of peanut butter with the jar of frosting.

I thought so too. Bananas in miracle whip and rolled in peanuts would require way too much effort for Tammy and Amy to expend. It’s also way too sophisticated for a Slaton meal. We’ve all seen those boxed cake and disastrous fudge recipes for too long to know the Slatons don’t eat anything unless it comes with simple instructions and with half of the “ingredients” already being pre-made.
The recipe contains two healthy/natural things: bananas and peanuts, so it's demonstrably not a Slaton original recipe.

2020 for lolcows is already starting off to a good start. Tammy & Amy get their own TV show, much like Steven from My 600 Lb Life. Twice the net gain, half the intelligence.

Also, I don't get why in these shows, they start crying on public television. You made yourself into that situation; now you find the need to cry? I'm surprised TLC is still relevant nowadays. What's going to happen with their YouTube channel? Did they sign a contract to film exclusively for TLC for a couple episodes?

Somebody mentioned them being scripted. Are they able to read and practice a script for prolonged periods of time? Also, that is NOT their house. That looks too clean.

People love TLC. It's professionally produced trash at this point. 80% of my guilty pleasure shows are on that channel.

They're still been uploading on their channels. I suspect they'll continue to do so when the show airs. They generally didn't talk about the show, but since they're dumb ditchpigs, they slipped up a few times. But it hardly matters... it's not like they spoiled anything (Except the fact they clearly haven't lost weight).

And it's not their home. They got moved into a duplex months ago, when they started shooting the show. I guess the reality of their roach filled trailers and hoarded out shithole houses were too bleak, even for TLC viewers.

Their parents did it to them in the first place.

It's six episodes for Season 1.
They can just feed them lines for any given scene, no script memorisation necessary just constant feedback and direction.

The emotion and struggle are what sells these type of shows. They are very basic overcoming the odds stories. Big lardarse is living a horrible life and makes some changes to finally lose weight so they can live happily ever after.

The are not making Hamlet here. The "script" here is just a guide to what they need. No one is going to be remembering any lines unless they say something that is gold and production staff want better audio or something. Voice-over stuff will likely be written out, but they will just read that.
