I mean, yikes. Why is a white woman like Monica Rial taking away roles for latina actresses? Shouldn't she do the right thing and bow out of this project and give it to a more deserving and under privileged POC?

Edit: Apparently her father is from Spain? I call BS. She's about as Spanish as Elizbeth Warren is Native American.

I decided to google Funimation VAs and not only is the first person listed THICC LASAGNA, the entire list of people they show according to Google is all white or white-presenting people. Literally like entering a Mormon church with all the middle aged and crazy eyed white people.

Wait really? Ricco Fajardo (Senku from Dr. Stone, Mirio Togata from Ma'Cademia) is the only one I remember not being white in there. There's also a guy named Miguel who plays Seth in Radiant.

I'm surprised Funi is not putting atleast Ricco there for sake of Brownie Points.

Also some yellow points, since he's part Filipino. Would that be considered yellow? Also Ricco is Taiju, not Senku. Senku is Aaron Dismuke.

There's some minority VAs among the newcomer crowd, but they're just that, a minority. Most of the old and semi-old guard are white.

Technically yeah, I'd say he would be one. Also yeah you're right, he does play Taiju. I haven't been watching Dr. Stone dub since episode 8.

Literally just Google Funi VAs. Google gives you a selection and based on photos only, they're all the same three shades of ivory and light beige if you were trying to find a makeup match for these people.

Now I'm not saying that's an indicator for race considering myself and a few others are pale af PoC, but for someone to be looking at a glance and see everyone is the same fucking skin tone....
