Hellthread was amazing since you had a group of people having fun watching the insanity of GG and then some one would run in and loose their mind the thread wasn't worshipping a scared cow.

I used to play forums Mafia, on SA in the Traditional Games subforum, and Rarity was a member of that community. She has always been this way. The troons took that community over 4 or 5 years ago. Not sure if anyone is familiar with how Mafia works, and I won't explain it, except to say, that a major aspect of the game, is a player vote each game turn for who to kill, which in general is referred to as a lynch. An accurate word for what happens, as all "the townspeople" are voting for a person to kill, which is essentially a lynch mob.

Rarity and the troons took a stand against using the word "Lynch" in mafia, because of the racial connotations of the word. I guess they learned about black people getting lynched in America, and decided it was a race thing. They cried and screamed and forced the community to stop using the word lynch in mafia games, and suggested instead that we use the word "cuddle".



So yeah. Rarity was never really laid back. He took little baby SJW steps to get to this point, but its been a long time coming.

The best thing about Hellthread is that the most active posters in there weren't gamergaters - it was the shit stirring antis trying to paint everyone as such who kept the topic locked on such a subject. It wasn't surprising, but the "DON'T TALK ABOUT GG" rules were only enforced when it looked as if you were at risk as maybe positively being thought of in the same ballpark as the hashtag; reporting GG talk in general just got mods very pissy in PM for wasting time.

Well, are we allowed to talk about it or not was never answered.

Watching the UIUC lecture kind of bums me out, Lowtax used to be genuinely funny and I kind of liked that he was just this slacker who stumbled into a weird niche of success.

On the other hand he 100% brought all of this on himself and on his site. It's hilarious and fitting that SA has become one of the communities that they used to mock, handwringing about other forums that are laughing at them, and that the mentally ill histrionics who have completely overtaken the site are just now noticing all the remnants of mildly edgy humor and running out the last bastions of the site's original culture. Fuck SA, fuck Richard, fuck FYAD, and fuck trannies. I hope it gets to the point where Lowtax is called to step down unless he releases a video apologizing for slavery.

Reminder this is a man that won’t post in his own forums.

He’s a pussy, but I can understand his stance. The ultra-left and those with “alternative lifestyles” are paying him 10k a month in Patreon bucks to rent his forums and throw their weight around. He’s not going to upset that.

But they’ll turn on him too eventually. I’m hoping something comes out during his divorce proceedings that will result in them withdrawing their money and threatening to leave if Lowtax doesn’t step down and sell the site.
