What is stopping them is that the trannies on SA are not self disciplined enough to follow through on learning how to code beyond copy and pasting a few middle school level arduino examples.

A bad codebase is possible to untangle and modofy but it takes years of honing project management to do it in an effecient manner.

Man, I just noticed the SA secret Santa thread in GBS. It’s seven pages two weeks out from Christmas. I remember years ago that thread would have been at least 100 pages by now.

Sadly the majority of posters in the thread seem to be goons who were actually around when SA was a fun place. It’s like they are ghostly Goons of the SA forums’ past. No one has told them the forums died long ago and they keep going thru the motions.

It’s sort of like Lowtax’s FB. I noticed a lot of the likes and comments he was getting for endorsing wise Troons was coming from old goons who actually don’t post on SA, or very rarely do. I know for a fact a handful of this FB buddies haven’t frequented SA since helldump was deleted. This might be why Lowtax sticks to posting on twitter and FB, instead of SA. SM is still where he can interact with people that left or got bored with SA years ago.

Furries on SA have been riding the whole WE GAY NOW wave to stay around and avoid bans, so it's not the smoking gun it used to be. There was a lot of furry screaming after ZDR's meltdown put SA in the crosshairs, and a bunch who "stepped forward" to talk about how othering it was to have a yiffy star, even though admitting you were a furry on olde SA meant you were actively trying to start shit or get dogpiled. There's also the fact that anyone old enough to remember FCC was probably one of the creepy weirdos who thought SA needed to leave Freehaven alone, or tattled to Shmorky whenever FYAD got bored and started noticing coincidences in Purple Pussy strips

Also lol Freehaven, I forgot he still exists, and is yet another one of Lowtax's mortal enemies who just happens to be buddies with Kirtaner

The original plan for overhauling the forums involved ponying up 20k to get xenforo and pay someone to recode all the special functionality, but I'm assuming that went sideways when Lowtax's spine attempted to escape his body and the IRS jumped in his shit.
