Science Kitten born with two heads battles to stay alive as owner refuses to give up on her

A kitten born with two heads is fighting for its life after surviving a difficult birth.

The adorable grey and white baby cat was born in Ratchaburi, central Thailand on Monday night.

Owner, Chabaprai Nilpet, 52, said she returned from work and found her Persian cat, Snow, in labour but struggling to give birth to the last kitten.

She rushed her beloved pet cat to the veterinary clinic where it underwent a cesarean section to safely bring the two-headed female kitten into the world.

The two-headed kitten was barely breathing when it's born

The kitten's heart and lungs were so weak that medics had to perform CPR to keep it breathing.

Incredibly, the kitten was kept alive and returned home with its mother and brothers and sisters.

Chabaprai has given the ''lucky'' two-headed kitten two names - Ngern and Thong, which mean money and gold respectively.

The cat lover said that the kitten was so frail that she has to use a syringe to feed both heads as they cannot not drink by themselves.

Chabaprai's cat, Snow, struggled to give birth to the last kitten and had to be rushed to the vet

Chabaprai said: "I love cats so much and have been raising them for more than 10 years.

"This is the fourth litter by my beloved Snow, but it was the first time that she has given birth to a two-headed kitten.

"I have tried to look at this positively, like they are lucky charm, because it was so unusual.

I checked it out and the original source, ViralPress, is suspiciously named but appears to be a legitimate news agency. Very cute.

This is going to be an uphill battle for that kitten. I tried looking for cases where a two-headed cat survived into adulthood, and found this:

Frankenlouie managed to live to a ripe old age of 15 (longest recorded for a Janus Cat), but depending on whether or not both mouths are functioning for this cat, it may play a role in its chance of survival.

I am so goddam tired of fucking cats on the internet. Of all the cool animals on earth, we pick one of the absolute worst to obsess over. Bring on the neg ratings idc, I am 100% right and all of you plebs are wrong.
You seem like one of those people who treat cats like dogs then get all buttmad when they don't act like them and shower you with attention for existing.
Cats are subtle. They were domesticated for pest control not to be our BFFs. They just sort of hang out until they decide they can trust you then if you are cool then maybe you can become their friend. If you aren't a standoffish dick and are nice it's pretty easy. Then, when they are through with you, they fuck off and do something else.
It's kinda nice having a furry retarded friend that isn't entirely dependent on you for everything. They do their own thing. Just put out some food and a box for them to shit in and they will manage.

I'm impressed. I thought the only animals to survive with two heads were reptiles like snakes, and even then they had shorter lifespans.

I don't know if most two headed mammals just don't survive, or are killed to be put out of their misery.
