Haven't seen anyone talk about this: operating under the very likely to be true assumption that Phil and Khet don't have any kind of prenup, what's the soulmaid's liability in all of this? Does property automatically become a shared asset/liability upon exchanging vows or would she need to be explicitly added as an owner?

I looked into this during the marriage saga in the vain of divorce. So long as they werent together when it was bought, and she never signed onto ownership of it, she is legally debt free from the house.

Kat technically doesn't owe anything.

In reality, her husband fucked over their chances of getting refinanced. He is getting sued for not paying his mortgage. If he doesn't get this sorted out he will have debt collectors coming after him.

Imagine the amount of stress this puts on Phil. He has no one to talk to except Kat so the stress gets passed onto her.

To say this won't effect Kat just isn't true in the slightest. She probably already has some conflicting feelings if she is a normal adult woman. Her husband is almost 40. He has no job besides playing video games and begging for change. His parents just this year have paid for their trip to Connecticut, their wedding, $5k for taxes, a fee hundred for an exercise bike, a couple hundred for an air fryer, Halloween and Christmas decor, a thanksgiving feast, and soon a Christmas dinner. Dude, at this point just move back in with them.

A normal woman might start to wonder if she married a man or a child.

No. If DSP took out the debt before they got married it's not her obligation to repay it and never will be.

Nope. It's his condo unless she starts making payments toward it. If she starts making payments toward it she'd have a weak argument that she was entitled to equity in it, but it wouldn't be a guarantee.

Each state is different. Washington is not an equitable distribution state. Each spouse is entitled to 50% of what they acquire after their marriage, though, like in your situation.

I'll enjoy hearing Null and his feeder laugh as he celebrates with us on Wednesday's stream. Only way this could get any better is if drama actively starts during Phil's stream.

Cooking is an essential skill for damn near anyone, not just because you can feed yourself; you can save a lot of money for not having others do it for you. Restaurants and those home delivery meals or whatever the fuck they are cost more than making shit yourself. Obviously it takes more time and effort for a reduced cost if you do everything from scratch, but even buying premade ingredients and doing it yourself is far cheaper than relying on others. I'd wager that's where a lot of their money goes, aside from these stupid small $30 tree purchases and shit they do.
