If you're lucky, people won't notice as much that you're a lady with broad shoulders or you're a man with wide hips if it's all obscured by 200 lbs of adipose. Unironically, nothing makes a person look more androgynous than obesity.

If you’re going to wear a sweater like that, wear it with some jeans and change out the plastic jewelry for a silver statement necklace. Also, the shade of foundation is very off. You look like the Joker. The lip and eye color make you look diseased. The hair color is all wrong. Just go for your natural hair color, but longer. All of that said, you still won’t pass because you’d need to change your face a lot (in ways makeup can’t help).

Honestly, I see a lot of pictures of troons that I don't think I'd clock unless I were actively paying attention to the people I were interacting with, which I try not to do too often because fuck all these people getting in my way when all I really want to do is go home and watch TV and not talk to people.

I've seen a few trannies like this irl. I always think that if I was paying slightly less attention and I wasn't as aware of trannies I probably wouldn't have clocked them. I always want to ask my coworkers if they noticed, but that's a risky conversation to start up. I do think they'd pass to some people who weren't as tranny savvy though.

In my experience the ones that pass the best look like white trash. There's this androgynous eunuch look that even non-trans white trash sometimes get. They should shoot for that instead of the animu princess thing.

I've started noticing them more in public now. Before I just assumed they were men with long hair, but now I'm guessing they are actually non passing troons. There’s a very short very fat fairly young HSTS troon who works at a shop near me and I saw him at a sushi place last night after not seeing him for about a year, and he passes IRL better than any others I’ve seen IRL. He happens to have very pretty healthy long hair and clear skin, and being fat softens things up. He looked pretty much like any other young fat girl in an ugly black goth sacque dress. I mean the second he spoke a single word it was over but I was impressed. He wasn’t trying too hard and being fat and young was good for him. It also helps that people usually ignore fat women. Plus being gay as hell, of course.

But again, what this troon is accomplishing isn’t so much tricking anyone paying attention into passing as a woman. He’s accomplishing being understated enough to pass under the radar so people don’t take that second look that gives it away. That is what troons can accomplish.

I think people in this thread underestimate the number of women that look like troons irl. Thats why it easy for these troons to pass in photos, sure like everyone says you can tell immediately irl because of body proportions, but when you're just looking at their face if they put in some effort a lot can just look like a manish woman.

I have a good troondar, but I do agree that in threads like these there's a tendency to downplay the existence of mannish women. There's a few troons that I clock but I can see how people might not, at least from the photo alone even if it hasn't been retouched. And there's a few more that ... I don't want to say 'pass', but do at least allow for genuine confusion, though that's usually when they're fat or in granny mode; the more flesh that's exposed the easier it is to tell, which is why AGP troons are so obvious but one in something like a raincoat with the hood up has a much better chance of getting away with it.

Of course, not all AGPs but certainly a decent number of them, no matter how much they squawk about passing, don't actually want to, because they feed off how they make other people uncomfortable.

I saw one that I didn't clock until he spoke. I was not interacting with him nor do I recall seeing him in any pose other than sitting. The voice though, he actually wasn't trying to mask his voice but even when they are, voices of either sex seem to commonly have tones that are not able to be mimicked. The few vids where they are trying to voice train, it's like the makeup and clothes. It may be a really good effort but it's built on top of structure that already betrays your sex. The best passing ones have neither and pass through androgyny.

One of the biggest tells that you'd definitely notice irl is height. These staged photos rarely give a good idea of the height but when they do give scale they're giants. It's all downhill from there.

I think it's just a straight guy thing where most of them don't really understand the specifics of women's fashion or the concept of "mutton dressed as lamb". They've never really had to think about any of that.

It doesn't help that a lot of woke circles dress like speds whether they're troons or not, so a lot of them are actually dressing like their female friends, their female friends just happen to dress like toddlers. The bad tumblr fashion thread showcases this pretty well.
