That is literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a Star Wars movie.

And I sat through both Ewok movies, the Clone Wars movie, AND the Holiday Special.

I don't think many of you are getting that the reviews are bad because many of the reviewers who would be shilling for this movie, are saying the movie is bad because it's not like TLJ.
It just so happens that their review scores are lining up with people who can recognize shit for the shit that it is and makes it seem like it's a new day.

It's not, these faggots will be back out there dropping 1/5 on movies because the lead character is a man before you can suck off Baby Yoda for the 14th time today.

They are giving the movie a bad score because JJ has tried to create an actual narrative out of the nutrilogy because Rian Johnson decided to not flesh out important plot points from TFA or develop any characters and just made Speed 3: Look at my Canto Bight.

Well yes, because the only way you can show that a woman has done well is by having her utterly conquer her male counterpart. At no point should one allow them to ever show parity despite one being trained and experienced in actual life or death sword battles.

Nor should you allow your strong female character to ever use this exceptional skill again because reasons.

It stinks because original trilogy Leia really was very competent and has whatever 'genetic' force power her brother should so her picking things up seems like an easy slam dunk that I would have loved to see get explored. Just in a less crummy, Peter Pannin' through space way before being stuffed off screen because oopsie daisy the actress got a bad case of the deads.

Playing devils advocate here even if I shouldn't. But in the flashback they are younger and this is where Leia decides to stop her Jedi training (Member when Ryan said she had none? KEK) but Luke continues and goes on to create the Jedi order.

We're fully aware. What I've mostly seen is catharsis from having their Last Jedi be stepped on as much as the OT was by Last Jedi.
