Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

Narcissism. And greed. Miracles are supposed to be free and it's not going to cost $100k to bury a fucking toddler.
The people doing the GoFraudMe for the family knows they will turn over the money to the church anyway.

At this point I just want to see how long these people can put off burying the child or what will happen if they insist on carrying on with this farce.

I think it'll go something like this:

"How much longer do we have to wait for her resurrection? She's little more than decomposing flesh over bones!"

"DON'T YOU DARE QUESTION ME THE LORD YOU FILTHY HEATHEN! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!"

In “different kind of fucked up” news of the day, this baby died on the 14th and her parents and church have started a movement for people to pray for her resurrection. Thousands of people are playing into this. They have also made a GoFundMe for $100,000 and have raised over $50K so far. This story is fucking insane.

If it weren’t for every other case in this thread, I’d assume this was a poor taste joke they were pulling but here we are...

I don’t know much about GFM’s rules but this surely has to break a bunch of them... And maybe some laws if they weren’t protected by some kookie religious freedom thing.

I assume they're so insane they murdered her and so arrogant they literally want money for it. I bet there's some fucked up cult shit going on here.

This passage sent a chill down my spine. The odds of a healthy 2-year-old with no existing medical conditions (like epilepsy) dying in their sleep because they "stopped breathing" are astronomical. There are multiple fail-safe mechanisms in the human body to prevent this, and this child was far above the age of SIDS anyway. This reads to me like a suspicious death. The authorities should investigate the parents. Considering how batshit they are, I wouldn't be surprised if there was an element of MBP.

Actually it's more common than you think. Thousands of children every year die of Sudden unexplained death in childhood, or SUDC. It happens in the sleep and it's children aged 1-18. SUDC is the 5th leading cause of death among 1-4 year olds. My friend's daughter died of it at 22 months old. Had a bath, had a story, went to bed. Mom was awoken at 3 am by the dog carrying on. And Emmie was blue and gone. SIDS is a form of SUDC

You literally just confirmed what I was saying. It's statistically extremely rare, and according to Dr. Google, "most" children who died from this had had previous seizure episodes.

SUDC is about 1 in 100,000. Yes rare. But more common than you think. And definitely not astronomical which is what I was replying to. The Seizure episodes was one Irish study. So that's not a common denominator in them from other research. They are doing a lot of research about it and doing genetic testing on these kids now that it's easier to do and access. But right now there is no 'most' in these cases save for a few studies right now.

Yes her parents might have done something. But SUDC does happen and it's not just 1-2 cases a year is just what I was pointing out. Also her being 2? They might not have had an excuse to find some underlying issue she had because she was still so young.

No, it's most definitely not 1:10,000. You forgot a zero there, buddy.

"Most of these children were toddlers, aged 1-4 years; an incidence of 1.4 deaths per 100,000 toddler aged children. Research and awareness of SUDC remains limited."

Literally what??

(EDIT: Also, powerlevel that crap if you're going to be sperging about your personal life.)

I typoed a zero. Yes I'm sorry.

My last part was there might have been some underlying issue they might not have found out yet because she died before they found it. Like genetic disease, underlying heart issue, ect. She didn't live long enough for issues to arise and them need to get her to the doctor.

Well, wow. They went full r.etard. Imagine how exceptional you really have to be to buy into this shit. I don't want to hear the 'grieving parent; excuse, either. Most people deal with death without going into intellectual freefall and demanding full physical resurrection within the week.

Looks like there are a few people trying to talk sense into the loons, but failing. Exhibit A:

"At what point do y’all stop all this?? I would love to see this little girl back, but a human body starts to decompose between 24-72 hours after death, it’s been 120 hours now and counting. Also imagine the emotional damage this is doing to the older sibling who just lost a sister and is too young to understand resurrection. They need to lay this little one to rest so that the family can properly grieve. The amount of evangelical leaders feeding into this is scary as well. Olive is in heaven and we need to be at peace with that. "

Body starts to decompose the moment all of its functions stop. I mean, once its temperatures drop. It just doesn't look gruesome yet. But the process is well underway.

They need to perform a thorough autopsy, and open a murder investigation if this child's cause of death isn't explainable due to disease processes or biological anomalies.

It is extraordinarily rare for a kid to just stop breathing.

Unfortunately, the Olive shitshow is already over. The church announced today that they're giving up on the resurrection.

It was a wild ride that went on for 6 days. R/fundiesnark covered it pretty heavily and there's a lot of posts about it there from the past week. For those wondering why the parents thought their kid was special enough to be the first person raised from the dead since Jesus, it's because a) the parents are musicians at their megachurch and are a big deal in that community, thus their kid's death was a big deal too, and b) their church, Bethel, is batshit fucking insane. These people are heavily into faith healing and prophecies, and they believe they can perform Jesus-tier miracles if they pray hard enough. I can't begin to cover the full scope of the insanity of that church, but here's an article that's a good place to start (unfortunately it's from Buzzfeed): https://web.archive.org/web/2019122...e-young-saints-of-bethel-who-go-to-college-to

And for the record, I completely agree that the kid's death is suspicious as hell and should be looked into. However I don't have a source right now, but I think i recall seeing a post about how the coroner's office performed an autopsy and didn't find anything suspicious. I'm looking for the post now.

Ok, it seems I got that part wrong, my apologies. Here's the confirmation that there was an autopsy: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.sacbee.com/news/california/article238558598.html
Quotes from the article about the autopsy:
“If it’s unexpected, we’ll open up a case to figure out how the death occurred,” Torum said. “It’s by no means at this point a suspicious death — but we still have to investigate to see what happened.”
It could take months for the official cause of death to be released, Torum said.

“The autopsy has been done. There’s no official result,” Torum said. “It’s still pretty early. We’re still talking to witnesses and going through information. It takes time.”

As an aside, if you look on the church's music group's Instagram page @bethelmusic and an unofficial Bethel music account @bethelmusicbelievers, you can see videos of the worship services they held where people sang and danced and prayed to resurrect the kid. These sessions were led by Olive's parents-- yes, the mom and dad led people in song and dance about their dead child for 5 days straight. They even wrote a song about it, called "Olive, Get Out Of That Grave". It'll get stuck in your head.

Yeah I don't think the autopsy would take too long and neither is the case- there's too much suspicious shit that points to the parents killing their own kid for asspats and shekels. Hell, I'm willing to bet good money that this is exactly the case. Like everyone else has said- it's very, very, very unusual for a kid to suddenly stop breathing.

Not having seen the autopsy report, nothing suspicious might suggest that there is/was an identifiable cause of natural death.

Maybe family isn't disclosing the cause of death.

As it has been extensively discussed, their theology falls like a house of cards when the miracle worker Jaysus gave them a kid with a heart defect.

I agree that the kids death seems suspicious, but it's also possible she died of something that wasn't foul play. Other than a heart or other condition like people have mentioned, I could also see something like an accidental asphyxiation or poisoning which can happen with kids that young (especially since I don't expect insane fundies to be the kind of people who are on the ball with keeping shit a kid can choke on or be poisoned by away from them).

There's just not enough information to really say, especially since I wouldn't be surprised if the family is withholding certain details.
