Is this one AGP or HSTS?

He is 33, had SRS a year ago and he started 3 years ago at age 30.
He is bisexual and claims to sleep with men every week.

Since he sleeps with men but identifies as bisexual and looks creepy I don't know if he falls under the AGP or the HSTS label?

In my opinion, AGP is just a fetish. Anyone (except maybe ciswomen?) can have it regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. The labels HSTS and AGP don't seem particularly useful since there's cis guys and homosexual transsexuals who are autogynephiles.

there is an entire body of peer-reviewed literature on the types of transsexuality, the correct terminology for subsets, their discrete groups, and their overlaps. People here don’t always use the terms correctly but they have actual psychological meaning beyond ‘lol tranny vs troon’

also Blanchard posits AGP is a possible psychological phenomenon in women but it would be really hard to identify. Iirc he has possibly identified it in a woman once. Or was that Anne lawrence? It’s been a while since I sperged into tranny literature.

The more I see of the AGP troons, the creepier it gets. That bimboification stuff--I would not be comfortable sharing a locker room with someone who's got that shit on the brain all the time.

In fact, I can't help seeing how this isn't dragging down all of the sexual minorities (hate that term, but not sure how else to put it). On the one hand, normal mortgage-having grownup gay people will look much less strange even to the crusty conservatives, now that we've got Yaniv and company grabbing the headlines. But on the other hand, the idea of Joe and Hank and their quiet committed relationship of 20+ years being lumped into the same category as Yaniv could make people less tolerant, since the LGB is still shackled to the T. Like that old Onion heading about "Gay Pride Parade Sets Mainstream Acceptance of Gays Back 50 Years."

If people are less tolerant of gays now, it is because gays have learned from the troon playbook and demand what they want as "human rights".

Strictly speaking, AGPs fetishize womanhood in its own end. Specifically, they are turned on by the idea of having female bodily functions like menstruation and pregnancy, and being accepted into women groups. This is quite different from the female fantasies of cis (gay) men and HSTSs, who fetishize womanhood instrumentally, as part of the story that end up with them fucking hunky men. Of course overlaps exist, but you rarely hear cis gay men giggling and talking about their "period cramps" and cravings for pickles, or demanding to be in support groups for female rape victims.

You get it! You fucking get it, man! You've put something into words that I've been thinking that I couldn't phrase in a way that didn't make me seem crazy!
God I really hope we can find a way to separate LGB from T and the gang. I used to think all we had to do was amputate T, but at this point, T is bigger than us. I think if anything, a getaway is a better analogy than simply making an excision of a tumor.

Many do. Even the ones who don't have lingerie fetishes probably appreciate the way some undies frame boobs and butts. Thanks to good lingerie, women who wouldn't naturally have cleavage can look like they do.

I'm re-reading Anne Lawrence's book on autogynephilia and apparently in Blanchard's studies the bisexual identified trannies tended to have the strongest reaction to AGP prompts when they did those "measure your boner" tests.

Sleeping with men alone doesn't make you a HSTS. It's all a little more complicated than the way it gets painted in casual conversation and a lot of people oversimplify or misinterpret Blanchard's findings (I think the biggest misinterpretation is that Blanchard's models identify HSTS's as the "real" transsexuals and AGPs as "fakes" that should be dissuaded from transition, but that's not the case at all, in fact there's some evidence that AGPs tend to be more satisfied with their transitions and are less likely to desist, the models aren't about real vs fake)

I apologize for the sperging, I am just in a tranny literature rabbit hole right now.
