From what I can tell, QCS is still locked so people just bitch about the mods and admins in whatever thread seems convenient. Some faggot called "BENGHAZI 2" snapped at one moderator, got probated for a month by Party Plane Jones, now people are demanding PPJ be demodded as well. Despite that every time PPJ is active, all I see him doing is throwing around heavy probations and bans for any wrongthink.

Benghazi is the legendarily borderline poster Dickeye, but I think people already covered this during some Magicchat. He went troon around the time he ran to SRS circa Richard's Reddit pedo crusade, after every subforum he tried to build a posting gimmick in told him to fuck off. Post-trooning, he now goes wherever, and his gimmick is to scream about how everyone that isn't some genderfuck in any given community is fascist lorem ipsum. He's especially loud about FYAD, and the inability to scream your way in there is half the reason these people want it closed to begin with. If you try to attack FYAD the same way you try to attack the landlord, cop, or election thread, you just get chain probed by JD and are forced to cry in QCS, and THAT outlet being closed is apparently some green light to attack in threads directly

Actual non-brain problem mods know how fucked-up these people are because THEY BRAG ABOUT IT 24/7 ON AND OFFSITE, no shit nobody with power buys the whole MODS = FASH thing, and their reasoning basically boils-down to "I'm trans/PoC and was probed which is NOT allowed", PPJ especially is aware, because they've been trying to meme him into being some cryptofascist in hopes somebody is stupid enough to believe it. Look how fast previous ousting attempt Beer4TheBeerGod got dogpiled when he made an appearance. They're 100% bulletproof and get probes when any other poster would get a ban/perma, but this still isn't enough, and the people who actually try to call them out usually get dogpiled by their chasers, so how the fuck is D&D so unbearable for any of you?

Niche forums away from the noise were some of the last places worth visiting on SA, even long after the rest of the site went to the dogs. You could find threads where people were sharing an amazing amount of specialized knowledge or interesting life experiences. If you wanted to learn how to properly cook a steak, know more about mortgages (and how not to get fucked renting), or know what people in porn, the military, advertising or the mangosteen trade think, you could just find one of the megathreads and spend nights reading about it. Of course the shrieking fuckwits couldn't allow that to go on.

So after more than 15 years on SA my account was permaban'd last week when there was that wave of bullshit. I'm very ok with it. It was a main where I did crazy shit like suggest your conservative parents aren't actually the devil or that maybe communism is in fact stupid and gay.

Anyone can see that they're the same crew high off the fact they "cancelled" FYAD, and are trying to do it again. I'm sure this has been broached before, but I'm just curious how much salt would happen if somebody with, say $1 million, offered to buy all rights and ownership of SA from Lowtax and he agreed to it. Their first act would be probating all these shit kickers, and make an article on the front page titled "Listen here you faggots, SomethingAwful is changing, and I'm not talking about your mentally ill penile inversion bullshit either..."

Course, somebody would need to be dumb enough to A). Pay Lowtax $1 million and B). Pay $1 million for a tranny infested former comedy forum.

That said, I bet if reinstating FYAD, returning GBS and shit to the old 1.0 versions and all that, the influx of former members and new would be a good chunk of cash. Don't permaban any of the upset woke crowd, continue to let them post, and then get dogpiled by the influx of people that aren't in their safe bubble. The salt would be good I think.

There’s really nothing on SA that isn’t on a hundred other sites at this point. There’s no reason to prefer it except for inertia or the fact that it is a lefty hugbox. There’s no reason for it to be popular again as it no longer has anything unique to offer. At least ResetERA has enough relevance that game journalists shill for it and they get astroturfed in return. It’s too late to course correct, I think. The Web 1.0 Titanic is already sinking, though whether it was the 400 pound Trekkie child molester that was the iceberg or Lowtax’s ability to ruin every relationship he had, or a hundred other things, I cannot say.
