That's why I said "somewhat". Also for the fact that MSPFA is really really proud of the fact that these are the "Official New Canon MSPAF" versions of the Forums, so much so that it's placed as a banner on the front page of their site.

The real MSPAF, as we know, got corrupted because Andrew and the WP team were dumbasses during the transition from mspaintadventures.com to Homestuck.com (a move that's still busted up the comic something fierce), but everyone over there just wants to make pretend and believe this is the new totes legit version, cuz one WP person acknowledged them. Man, I miss Nightfall or whatever that comic was called. It was engaging at first and bad in a fun way later on. The whole failure to transfer the comics and forums with minimal loss of data really struck a heavy blow against the fandom. Sure, it's still there, but not as strong as it used to be. The shitshow that was WP and the subterran quality of Homestuck "2" only made it worse.

In re: the MSPA Forums, if this new one is already shaping up like REEEEE-setERa and they don't have the backup of all the good shit from the original forums... the place is less than worthless.

I was reading the RPGnet thread and was looking at the Twitter of one of that forums regular spergs and I saw two retweets (archive & archive) from Chuck Tingle taking a stand in recent Romance Writers of America circular firing squad going on right now...

So, someone knows who Tingle is? I didn't find any of this discussed in the thread already, and with a cursory search the only thing I found thus far was a blog post (1) about the RWA BS (archive) that links to this article (archive) where some author (who is apparently the head of the RWA?) claims to know who Tingle is. I have no idea who any of these people are, but it'd be hilarious if this Damon Suede dude outed the people behind Tingle once the woke scolds finish canceling him.

Also, apparently Chuck is doing a podcast with some dyke (in her words) nobody (in mine) LA comedian? I also found this interview Viz did with Hussie. I'm not anywhere near an expert with comparing voices, but I'm not so sure those match up, even with Tingle's forced 'tism accent taken into account.

I was able to tell after listening to only like thirty seconds of one of the episodes: that is definitely not Andrew for a couple reasons. First, this guy's almost hyper energy is the total opposite of Andrew's deadpan monotone. Second, his voice is too high. Third, (and this is the biggest tell) Andrew has a frontal lisp-- this person doesn't. Fourth, that woman looks way too respectable to be the kind of person Andrew would associate with.

Idk if it's been said before, but I think Chuck Tingle is actually an Erin Hunter situation where it's a couple different people, except instead of four to six people working on one book, it's one guy who does most of them but he invites other people to use his pen-name for guest books. I'm thinking if Andrew's involved, it's in some sort of collaborative capacity. Maybe he wrote a book or just a few chapters under the name as a guest writer. Maybe he revises. I don't know.

Again, all I know is that the guy in those podcasts isn't Andrew. Make of that what you will.

Think about it, some sperg got to make millions out of a shitty GM game ripping off Cave Story, Homestuck and MOTHER, meets the celebrity game director behind Smash Bros in his own house. Gets his goddamn meme skeleton as an official costume along with a song from a hackrom in Nintendo's stupidly popular multi-million selling crossover and composed tunes for Game Freak, the fucking Pokémon developer.
All this because he got to rub shoulders with the epic ms paint comic guy.
Goon nepotism is truly a scary thing, these guys are probably on every institution by now influencing popular culture.

Well in all honesty, at least he is respectable and didn't go down the eboy rabbit hole like Hussie.

Edit: What I'm saying is that while Hussie is clearly shown with a deteriorating mental state and internet persona (I mean, have you seen the Epilogues yet?), Toby Fox managed to keep away from drama and just make a cute little game about befriending monsters. Although I will admit the fandom is quite honestly an absolute dumpster fire that deserves to die, Undertale really was something that changed up what we once thought about the RPG formula. The music is quite enjoyable as well. I don't see what your problem is, considering that Toby also calls himself a "shitty dog". But it's all just my own opinion, and everyone can have their own as well. I just wanted to speak my mind a bit.
