Unless they've given him a preservation notice or something of that sort, there's no punishment for him deleting anything at the moment. Though if it ever went to a trial and he keeps all of those tweets deleted, they can absolutely draw negative inferences to why he deleted so many in one day and what those tweets could've contained.
