If SA is Lowtax's legacy, it's amazing how willing he is to erase it.

The amazing thing to me is that FYAD, no matter how shitty it is, is the forum's soul. Once that's gone, you've basically set yourself up for GamerGBS vs. Troons while the rest of the forums look on in horror. There won't be that "playing it for irony" faction playing up a remove GBS slant or smartening up and going from "KM is a fucking grifter!" to "She obviously needs to be promoted to Admin" for the laughs. It'll just be two factions taking everything seriously.

In other words: Reddit.

Many posters - perhaps most posters - have no interest in involving themselves in the drama despite the insistence of troons that anyone not actively condemning FYAD and supporting its closure is a bigot.

Hundreds of SA discords already exist, and I expect that most people who have no desire to involve themselves in the drama will continue posting with their forum buddies in those. For most, that won't be any great hardship as the individual forums have become more insular over time with most people now visiting only one or two on any regular basis,

If there's one thing I dislike the most about these people, it's the blatant infantilization of being a woman.

And out of all the things I've read in my time, few of them have made me more uncomfortable than listening to that "morcant" person talk about their sexuality being "agender" and allegedly crying at the end of the post or mutilating themselves. I don't know what it is, but something about how they write is deeply unnerving, like a mixture between Buffalo Bill and a highschool girl writing erotic fanfiction. It's the same feeling I would get hearing a person excitedly recount an autopsy of their grandmother.
