LGBT and children dont mix at all. Especially event dedicated to LGBTs bring out the crazy even more as they see it as an opportunity to act like degenerates (see pride parades).

Someone actually got upset with me when I said that children shouldn't be at pride parades either. Their argument was that the fetish gear had to be banned because seeing it in public is problematic or something. The only reason why I think this younger generation of LGBT people hate kink because they think being gay is all cute, pure, and cuddly. They act as if gay people can't be degenerate at all funnily enough. I told them that kink/fetish stuff has been a big part of the LGBT community for a very long time and it's not going to leave anytime soon.

The issue is irresponsible families bringing their kids to pride parades not thinking of the repercussions of it. Plus you have parents who force their kids into being trans or drag for brownie points. When I brought up how kids can be exploited in the LGBT community (like Desmond is Amazing) I never got another response from them. Pride parades were never intended to be family events and I don't know who's bright idea it was to start bringing kids there in the first place.

There's also been a recent argument that ahegao hoodies or patterns should be banned from anime conventions because "think of the children".

Way I see it is if they want to boycott, they can. As American citizens, it is their right. My thoughts are when they say financial harm, if they just mean a consumer boycott(which is perfectly within their right), or if they are referring to trying to make others break their contracts or even going to territories of criminal behavior. Yes I know pirating shows is criminal as well, and if people doing it are stupid enough to get caught, that is on them.

I mean people have been boycotting funimation legitimately(cancelling subscriptions, not buying the blurays, etc) as well too.
